I purchased these for a sloth themed birthday party. It comes with 8 individual kits plus stuffing & plenty of embroidery floss. With a bit more help my 6yo was able to make some. These are really cute when finished & we will use them (hanging from vines) as decorations at the party. If the kids were a little older I would have definitely had this as an activity at the party, but some of the cousins coming were too young. Definitely worth the price! My girls enjoyed making them.

Used for 7 year olds birthday. The string for sewing around the sloth gets long and tangled. Needed adult support to complete. Finished products turned out great. No glue needed, the adhesion was great but sometimes harder to peel the backs off.

We used these for children in the library for a summer program. The children loved learning to sew - to tie knots, to create stitches and to have an adorable final product. One thing we didn't know, (although if you look at the instructions before you start, you would know ;), was that any branch or big leaf is NOT a stick-on. Those actually need to be incorporated into the sewing as you go along. If this is too complicated for the child (as it would be for many beginners), you can always stitch those on separately afterward. Our only real problem in the assembly was that the white paper on the stick-ons is REALLY hard to get off, even with fingernails, even for an adult! I hope the manufacturer can work on this to make them more child-friendly. Otherwise, it's a really wonderful kit. All parts were present and there was sufficient stuffing and thread for everyone. One thing to note: there are only FIVE needles but EIGHT sloths. It would be worth a few extra cents to include one for each sloth.

I bought this as a gift for my niece who loves sloths. It's cute and all of the pieces are pre cut. It has some poly fill to put inside each sloth and sew it up. The thread is embroidery thread. Very cute! One word of caution is that Amazon put the shipping label right on the front of the product package and shipped it. Normally, I think that is excellent because I get annoyed at putting a box inside a box for shipping. However, since this was a gift, I wished I had indicated that in the shipping directions. I spent a long time picking the shipping label and sticky residue from the front of the product packaging so my niece would be able to see what the gift was without having to completely open the box at her birthday party. It's not a big deal, really, and if it saved a tree then it was worth the trouble, but future customers might want to know that it may come with just a shipping label on the packaging.

This sloth craft kit is adorable! I was looking for something fun for the kids to do that did not involve a screen. This is such a fun little box. It comes with 8 different sloths and easy to follow instructions. It has everything you need to put it together. This will be perfect for our Sloth Sleepover.

My 5 year old loves this. She has been wanting to sew. This kit is easy to complete one sloth in about 20 minutes with some I do, you do, we do. Each sloth comes with easy to read instructions. My only frustrations were peeling the sticker parts, which are doable, but not for little hands. Also, I wish the string was cut and in the kits. Sometimes we cut too much and sometimes not enough. Otherwise, a great kit. Totally worth the money and a great skill for little ones.

The adhesive is super sticky which is great for felt. Lots complained about not being about to get the backing off. TIP: cut the pieces from the sheets. Then take a felt piece and try to tear it in half. The white backing should tear allowing you to remove the backing. This approach is similar for those who use kinesio tape for physical therapy. My 7 yr old made ornaments from these as 1/16 inch cord fits perfectly through the holes.
