Strike a couple of arcs to warm up the coils inside the torch body for easier bending. Once warmed up, you are ready for bending the flexible area, generally, the area between where the handle starts and just about 1/2 before the head. Maximum 40 degrees from centerline. Looks great and customer services were OUTSTANDING when I called asking about what torch should I get that takes 3/8-32 consumable. The correct torch should be (CK17-25-RSF FX)Unfortunately for me, I had to pay to ship it back, I wish they added this information in the description, I am adding it now so no one will make the same mistake.

I am fairly new to TIG welding, so small changes make a big difference. I had been using a larger 17 torch so this was a huge improvement in terms of mobility and accuracy. The 17 that came with my Miller does have a flex head, but it is really stiff compared to the CK torch. Same with the hose. The CK hose is REALLY loose and very easy to work around. The hype about CK torches is true. If you are new, working in tight spaces, or are just struggling with the torch you have, this is worth a try

My husband has been using the same stock torch that came with his welder forever. I ordered this for him & loved it. So much lighter weight it made clean looking welds easier than ever. So much less fatigue and easier to manage in small spaces

Nice rig, the head is a touch to loose to walk the cup. Good flexible hose.
