This was a replacement for one that I had already owned, but lost on a mission trip. I replaced it with the same thing. This meter does everything I need in a multi-meter. I use the non-contact voltage detector all the time when doing wiring. The DC amp clamp meter has been very useful for troubleshooting a circuit in my car that was drawing too much current when the car was off and draining the battery. All the features are convenient and easy to use. For some things it takes 2 steps to select the function since the dial chooses the general setting, like voltage reading, and then a button toggles between AC and DC. But I prefer this to having a large multi-meter with a huge dial.I am an electrical engineer and I have one of these at home and one at work.
