Great hat for work, when you have to work in environments we’re you have to wear hearing protection like the big muff type , in the cold the fleece is better that the plastic against my ears .

I am a average sized adult male, and this hat just barely fits on my head. I have to really pull it down for it to be fully seated on my head. I wished that they offered different sizes, but this is most definately not a "one size fits all" type of hat. once I get it on, it does keep my head and ears nice and warm though. The flaps are pretty small, so they really only cover my ears. my entire back neck and cheek area are not covered at all and end up getting cold from the wind. If you are shorter or if maybe a female, then this would work just fine for you, but if you are typical average sized male then you probably want to keep looking for something else.

In the warmer months I wear a lot of 5-panel caps, and thought this might be a great cold-weather version. And it is! Fits well on my larger-than-average dome.The bill is well-formed but soft (not reinforced like on a ball cap), in case that matters to you.It's well-made, comfy, and warm enough for most casual winter activities. When wearing it I often feel like an extra in the new season of Fargo, or your quirky Canadian neighbor who will help you fix your fence, and that makes me like it even more.My only complaint is that the little clip on the chin strap can be a *bit* of a challenge to un-clip at first, but it gets easier with practice (I would recommend practicing and getting good at it before attaching it to your head).
