Use the HD3 for two station operation (such as both ends of a hall). Each Push Button Switch has been designed to work with existing and new wiring. Push Button Switches were used in a majority of American homes in the first half of the century and have been duplicated right down to the synthetic mother of pearl inlays. 120 Volts - 15 Amps - 60Hz. All our switches are replicas of the push button switches that were used in homes around the United States from the turn of the century to the 1950's. They are built to the specifications of modern electrical code and used for replacing your old push button switches and also great for new construction. They add an unique and classic element to any room.

Our home was built around 1830. I installed several of these switches to give it that "old fashioned" feel. They were as easy as any light switch to install and so far have worked great. We have a lot of guests staying in our home and have received some nice compliments on the old switches!

It fit what I already had . I had these for 10 years & none wore out but the dimmer one. I couldn’t remember where I originally got them from . But took a look on Amazon I was happy this was able to fit where I had the dimmer switch! The guy did have to adjust wiring a little he said but it worked. This is not a dimmer as I didn’t want that again. For some reason that was the only one that became loose & broken before. Love these switches a step back in time.

I have a new build but wanted some antique character to my front entry. I have bought 6 of these and I love the look. I wish they were a little less "plastic" feeling but they are still beautiful. I also get a little concerned about fire when the button isn't fully depressed in one or the other position but haven't had any problems so far.

We've installed many of these to replace our original push-buttons as we renovate our home room by room. We really wanted to use our original brass switch plates, and these aren't as heavy as the originals, but what is? It's either these or change all your switches to something more modern and lose that character. They look great, work as they're supposed to (i.e., they turn the lights on and off, what more could you want?), and this is the only brand I've been able to find in this style. More importantly, they help me sleep at night - some of our old switches and wiring would only turn the light on one out of every five times you pushed the button, or blinked randomly...we're happy with our new/old switches! I gave four stars because the can be a little tricky to install. I agree with the previous commenter about the wiggly screws. I'll try his tips next time.
