It doesn't stay in place, and the turn wheel constantly stops randomly. Almost like it gets caught on something.

It was very hard to cut the bread and actually left a jagged edge in the bread vs a clean cut. Would not recommend

Bread slicer is not well assembled, and may not be usable. All the components like the handle, blade and guide shake, move or twist when we use it. I tried to slice a roll, and the slicer just bunched it up until it was squished. Then I tried to slice a loaf that had a little more substance, and the slice ran into the cover and then tore the bread. I'm not sure if the blade is dull (it looks sharp), but so far it's been a disappointment. I tried to tighten the screws and bolts and it helped a little, but when I took the blade off, I saw that its rusty on the underside. So far, I'm not impressed which is a disappointment because I was looking forward to using this.

Product did slice the bread well enough. However;1. There was a burr on the cutting gear causing the slicer to jam and stop working;2. The slicing thickness adjustment would slide out as bread was cut causing irregular sizes;3. After slicing bread, the sliced bread would fall against crank and break into pieces.Would not buy product again and do not recommend.

If you are a sourdough person, this is a lovely gadget to cut your bread without damaging the loaf. It is fun to use. While it takes up counter space, you can store it and bring it out when you need it, but for sourdough you cannot go wrong with using this instrument. It is worth it! Well constructed and easy to use!
