I want these for carrying hot metal chafing pans from my griddle to steam pans. The gloves are HUGE for my regular size "woman hands" so 3" of glove on the ends of each finger was like working with giant Mickey Mouse hands, so I took off the gloves, folded them in half and used them like "pot holders", I was able to grip the pan edges without burning my fingers - job done! They fit my husband's "man hands" perfectly.

In my quest to enhance my grilling experience, I stumbled upon these heat-resistant BBQ gloves. Right off the bat, I was impressed by their versatility and the level of comfort they provided. They've proven to be an invaluable asset for managing the high temperatures of outdoor cooking, effectively replacing the traditional potholders I used to rely on.The gloves are designed with comfort in mind, fitting snugly around my hands and providing a level of dexterity that fabric potholders simply can't match. This feature is particularly useful when needing to quickly adjust grill settings or when maneuvering pots and pans on the stovetop.Performance-wise, the gloves excel in protecting against heat, making tasks like shifting hot grates or removing a pan from the oven safer and more manageable. The confidence they instill, knowing I can handle high-heat items without discomfort, has been a game-changer.However, it's worth noting a limitation: their suitability for handling meat or wet items directly. Given their fabric construction, these gloves can absorb liquids, necessitating a wash after such use – not ideal in the midst of a busy cooking session. Thus, while they're excellent for working with tools and dry, hot items, I'd hesitate to use them for more involved tasks like directly handling meats or wet foods on the grill. In conclusion, these heat-resistant BBQ gloves are a standout choice for anyone looking to upgrade their grilling gear. They offer a combination of comfort, heat resistance, and dexterity that traditional potholders can't compete with. Just keep in mind to pair them with utensils for wet or messy tasks to maintain their integrity and avoid frequent washes. For dry, high-heat applications, they're unbeatable.

I've been using silicon plam gloves in the kitchen for a couple of years now. Dealing with hot cooking vessels-in the oven or on the stove alway takes coordination, and oyu need to be sure that you have a firm grip on the cookware.A couple of years ago I thought I'd experiment by using a pair of long cuff silicon palm gloves-intended for outdoor barbecue use-in the kitchen. I was surprised by how easy it was to do things like lift a hot casserole with no handles out of the oven. Ever do that with a kitchen mitt or a square potholder? Not always easy,But with these gloves, you can just grab anything that's hot as you would if it was at room temperature. This is a measure of safety and convenience that makes things easier. The next time you need to turn a turkey over, just put these gloves on and grab the turkey to turn it over. Or, if you need to be a bit more polite, put a fork in each end of the turkey and flip it. So much easier than cumbersome turkey turning forks, snd a lot steadier. These gloves are not the best I've seen. There is less silicone on the palm (therefore less heat protection), and like many gloves of this type, the cuffs are long enough to come halfway up to the elbow. I fold them over so they are easier to put on and take off. They are well made, and so far have done what I hoped they would. If you use gloves like these, they will have stains and moisture on them after a day. of use. Not a big deal-just wash them in your kitchen sink with some dish detergent.I recommend these to anyone who wants to try a more ergonomic and safer way of handling hot cookware.
