I didn't have the problem some reviewers have mentioned with the lid -- mine fit perfectly. However, measure your chips before buying. The trays of this case are exactly 1.5 inches wide (38mm), which is slightly too small for "casino standard" chips (39mm) or the more common 40mm home sets. I attached a picture of the end result -- the chips fit in the case, but they sit kind of on top of the tray with only two points touching. This gives them a tendency to rock, twist, or fall down, especially if there are only a few chips in a row.This might not bother you at all, unless you're a little OCD (like me), in which case it nags at me every time I put a chip down. If you have 38 mm chips, then it's great; buy it.(Pictured are 40mm chips. It's a little hard to see where the clear plastic hits the ruler in a picture, but it's 1.50 inches on the nose.)

There are exactly as advertised and fit standard chips. They are nice thick acrylic. I carry chips to and from several places each week for a poker game, and I use these at the top of a stack to keep the chips from bouncing around. I would buy from these sellers again.

Not sure if the people leaving negative reviews about the lid not closing received defective items ...but the case I received works wonderfully. The top fits snugly over my standard and oversized chips and I don't have any issues. My chips are nice and protected and I can safely store them in the cabinet with the rest of my card playing items. For reference, I use Monte Carlo, Monico, Crown Casino, and Lucky Horseshoe chips I purchased from discountpokershop. I even have a few smaller ones from local casinos. They all fit fine.

2 of 3 lids fit nicely. The other is loose and doesn't lock on. Too bad, I would to love to have more but I don't want to mess around returning inferior product and do not want to buy them knowing there will likely be a problem.

I use the chips as rewards when I do presentations. The case holds the chips just fine, but the lid doesn't have a way of locking. I travel with the chips so I have been taping the lid to keep it from coming off. The lid does have a snug fit, but I don't think it would stay on long if it got flipped over. Over all it works well and is a good value.

Purchased 1,and loved it. chips fit in case snugly, and looks nice. I purchased 5 more. Only 1 was up to the previous standard. The other 4 cannot get the lid down, without breaking the lid. So for usefulness, I am batting 2/6 or 33%. Not bad for a batter, but not good for a manufacturer that cannot match tops and bottoms

I just love this product! I love the fact that each line holds EXACTLY 20 game chips since that is the amount that players-friends usually buy when start playing BlackJack in our game table. The tray is very well constructed, it is robust enough to hold the chips securely. And when they are full of chips you can put one tray on top of the other... this show other players how successful has been you play night! ;-)My game chips box is customized for 600 chips. It's made in wood and these trays are the ones who do the job of holding all my chips in my box. And they look awesome! I've used them for YEARS now (around 8 I guess) and all my trays are still in perfect condition. So yes, they are cheap and they last! Go ahead and buy with no doubt!
