I live in a little two bedroom apartment so my boyfriend has the one closet in our bedroom and i turned the second room into my dressing room. I have a lot of clothes and needed a second bar in the closet. It holds my pants (which are heavy) so it’s very sturdy and very easy to install!

I went to 2 hardware stores and could not find a closet rod that goes over trim/shelving, so this was perfect. I love that it's all metal--some at the stores had plastic ends, which are just begging to break! Installing this was mostly a breeze; one annoyance was that they have the top tab on 1 side of the rod that's up and ready to be installed over trim, but the other one is completely turned into the metal end, so it has to be manually pushed up. It took a hammer and screwdriver to get it into the right position (screwdriver worked better), but still an irritating extra step. Overall, though, this was a great purchase and reasonable price. Very happy with this product!

Didn’t come with screws....1st trip to hardware store.....instructions say to pound down tab with hammer if you don’t need it, entire end broke off when husband did this....second trip to hardware store to buy temp support bracket till we can order different style that the rod just slides down into bracket.

This rod is ok if you have smaller closets. I got this rod to put in all the closets of a new house. The smaller closets it has been ok in. The closets are about 54 inches wide inside and this rod worked. I am waiting to see if after some time they sag in the center. The large closet we have that is closer to the 72 inch length, it definitely had to have a support because the sagging was very severe in that closet. The install was easy. Two screws on each side. It has a tab on the top edge of the bracket that has the screw holes. You can see that tab in the image. That tab was bent down on some of the rods we got. In all I purchased 9 rods. I would say about half had a bent tab. Some had two bent tabs, some had no bent tabs and some had one bent down and one not bent down.I would have picked a much sturdier rod if I had been able to see these in person and hold them in hand. I took the chance on it due to it being a best seller on here. But I'm really not that impressed with it.

Didn't come with the installation screws. There's a metal tab sticking out on one side. It must be removed if your going to be screwing directly into drywall. It's packaging was subpar, mostly deteriorating plastic. As for durability it's 5 stars. The bar holds clothes, and it feels sturdy, no complaints there.

I was not expecting this rod to be as well made as it is. I installed it over my washer and dryer so I can hang stuff up as I pull it out of the dryer. The expanded width in my closet is about 67 inches. It came with six screws, even though you only need four. I would recommend using anchors, though, if you are securing it to drywall. It was a little tricky for one person to install. The only weird thing about it was that there are tabs on the ends which you use if you are attaching them to a "hook strip" but you bend down if you are just attaching it to a wall. Mine came with one of the tabs already bent down. I didn't attach it to a hook strip, so this wasn't a big deal (I bent the other one down myself with a few taps of a hammer), but I wonder if it would have snapped off if I had tried to bend it back up.
