I use this one way valve in a 160 degree ,solar return, hot water system. That being said we have the most undesirable water in the world. Well, I have not tried all the water in the world.I took the valve apart and machined a brass spacer to replace one of the double check valves and body and then reduced the spring pressure on the other valve to drop the cracking pressure.This is due to fact that it is operated by a low pressure ,Taco pump, for flow in one direction only.This is a super valve and will operate for many trouble free years with just minimal cleaning. All other valves just build up with the contaminants found in our water and eventually block closed or open and stop working.I now have a internal direct replacement valve if this ever fails ,as I kept the other valve assembly that I replaced with the brass body.Best valve I have found for this purpose.
