can't even bolt the motor up because of poor design motor will set crooked without spacers between the motor and the case to get proper gear mesh

The gear mesh is a bit difficult to get right, so all of the negative reviews are pretty much setting this up wrong. The included pinion set screw if installed wrong will hit against the gear. If the mesh is too tight, the gears will hit the case, and if too loose, will destroy the gear(s). That said, if your motor mount screws come undone, you will likely have a bad time.UPDATE: Wife was able to destroy this box.. The 3 gear setup is just too dangerous I think.

Was using another similar transmission with same layout but, the wholes for the pins of the gears in the housing kept wallowing out. Went with this transmission because the picture advertised brass pin holds for gears.

The gears are no good they have to much play and slip when you need torque to climb.

I put it in my crawler and the gear won’t catch it slips away from the pinion gear so motor just spins

Binds. No matter what I do with different mesh and grease etc nothing helps. This transmission is unusable.

it definitely was less assembled than I expected but, knew it wasmore plastic then I expected that way.
