How to refill 5lb co2 tank from 20lb co2 tank:
1.Chill the 5lb co2 tank (put it in the freezer overnight)
2. Heat a 20 lb CO2 tank (direct sunlight for about 2 hours)
3.Connect the 20lb and 5lb tanks to the transfer hose, with the needle valve closest to the 5lb tank (Tighten with 12”adjustable wrench),Don’t forget the gaskets in both ends
4. Wearing a good pair of gloves,open valve on the 20lb tank and make sure there aren’t any leaks
5. Turn your 20 lb tank upside down. Flipping it allows to transfer the liquid CO2 we want,when turning the supply cylinder upside down, make sure it is secure and does not tip over）
6.Open the bleeder screw on the hose until liquid comes out then close it (This purges air from the hose)
7.Open the valve on the 5lb tank slowly, and listen to it fill (This fills the tank doesn’t take very long)
8. Close the valves on both tanks
9 Open the bleeder screw to empty the hose then close it
10. Use wrench to break free the nuts from both tanks then spin them off by hand

This fill station does exactly what it’s supposed to do and is perfect for filling up my smaller tanks. Unfortunately, it leaked right from new.Hoses are very poor quality, and it will not stand up to regular use.

Does not work very well tried to fill a small cylinder of co2 from a bigger bottle. Did not seem to fill the bottle?? Would be great to see a video. I can't turn my big bottle usdide down that is dangerous.

I got this because I'd acquired a couple of tanks of liquid CO2 fitted for liquid withdrawal at an estate sale, and have another smaller gas withdrawal (no dip tube) tank on my multi-process welder. This is perfect to transfer CO2 from the larger dip tube equipped tanks to smaller in only a few minutes with no leakage.I was actually surprised at how fast the fluid transfer took place. It's only been used once so far, but saved an expensive trip to the welding shop to fill the smaller tank.
