I love this magnetic pin cushion and the on board pin box. My only complaint is that the pins aren't good. They're dull and were practically punching instead of sliding through 2 simple layers of cotton. Otherwise, I'm happy with it.

The magnet and pins themselves are great, and the holder built into the magnet is helpful (although it was difficult to open at first). The packaging that contained the pins, however, was disgusting. There was a hair and food (?) on the box when it arrived. Will be keeping, but unpleasant experience at first.

I’m an avid sewer, but messy. My pins seem to end up everywhere. These magnet pin “cushions” work the best for me. The magnets in this type are set so the pins lie straight and flat and don’t stick up in the air, so no finger pokes.

Normally, I am not a fan of a magnetic pin cushion, however this one is different. The crevice in the middle is helpful to retrieve pins. I also really loved the little drawer on the bottom. I store safety pins and needles-so handy for hand stitching when needed. A needle is always close. I liked this style so much I purchased 3-one for each of my sewing machines.

I wondered if the pins would line up like in the picture - and they DO! IF you slowly hold the magnet over the pile. I spread the pile out and it worked great. Otherwise it will pick up the whole pile and they will be a jumbled mess. This set also comes with long pins - which I prefer.

I bought this to replace my old tomato pin cushion. The tomato was sad and my demon cats were able to grab the head of the pins out of it. It's not fun finding needles randomly around the house or wondering if your cats intestines are going to be ripped and damaged due their dumb self swallowing them. Anyway, I digress. This magnetic pin holder is the best. It holds pins securely, but not so tight you can't get them off. My cats are confused by it, and if you hold it upside down, you can grab the pins off the table.
