This coat rack exceeded my expectations! I wanted a relatively coat rack with hooks for my hat, umbrella, and tote bag (items I always keep on hand) and then a variety of hooks for different lengths of coats.This looks nice and is more stable than I expected. It's probably not going to work for a very heavy trench coat or such, but for jackets and lightweight coats, it's great. The hooks are in strategic locations so that you can move your items around as needed to ensure an uninterrupted space for each. The lower hooks are good for my bags and umbrella, and then my hat plops on top.Assembly was easy, maybe 10 minutes, and does not require any tools. The pieces are smooth and painted, with no chips or splinters I could find.I took off one star because the coat rack smells VERY musty, like it's been sitting in a dank basement for years. There was a lot of what looked like sawdust and styrofoam shavings on the pieces. I wiped it off with a damp rag and hope that after airing out a bit that the musty odor will fade. Otherwise, for the price and ease of assembly I am pleased.
