I love this! Only problem I had was the bottom spout was in the open position when the first rain came. So my advice is to look down the barrel and make sure it's in the closed position. It holds water very well and the mesh keeps leaves and debri out. And I think it's more attractive than the plain black or green barrels, which is the point. Those who thought they were actually getting a real wooden barrel didn't look through the photos. It has an instructional video.

Overall it’s okay. It definitely looks like a plastic tub not wood like. It does function but my biggest complaint is that I can’t hook and hoses up to it. It looks like it has the proper threading and even a quick connect spout but none of my hoses either trying to screw it on or use the quick connect actually worked so it’s pretty much a bust for me as a usable water barrel. It is now just sitting beside my house not functional until I can figure out a way to make it functional

Love this rain barrel! It’s beautiful and looks lovely in our yard. We are already under water restrictions and it’s only the beginning of summer.This is soft sided and once it gets a bit of water in it, it’s shape becomes round. I like that it’s not too big but still holds a ton of water. We have ours full and the overflow works great. (We put a hose on the overflow hole to flow into the bushes away from the house.). Also like the mesh top to keep the leaves, bugs and birds out.We attached a drip line to the bottom valve that works pretty good when our barrel is half full. We can’t seem to get it less than half empty before it fills up again so I’m not sure if it will work when less than half full. I am so grateful to have this water available during all the hot days and we don’t seem to lose any to evaporation.I am happy that it’s collapsible so we can put it away safely in the garage for winter. We have already ordered a second barrel!

I didn’t read carefully prior to ordering this item. I ended up returning it as it wouldn’t have suited my needs. I was looking for something more durable.
