I bought a few of these to install in 5 gallon buckets and they work great.

I put one in each of my 5 gallon stainless steel water cans we use for camping so we don't have to tip the cans. Now it's easy to fill out water bottles.

First and foremost, the stainless steel construction gives me peace of mind knowing that it's built to last. No more worrying about rust or corrosion ruining my spigot over time. Plus, the sleek design adds a touch of sophistication to my rain barrel setup.Installation was a breeze. The spigot fit perfectly into my rain barrel without any leaks or issues. The included washers ensured a tight seal, so I didn't have to worry about water leaking out unexpectedly. But what really impressed me is the performance. This spigot delivers a steady, consistent flow of water whenever I need it. Whether I'm filling up a watering can or attaching a hose for watering my garden, it handles the task with ease. And the smooth operation means I can control the flow with precision, without any drips or leaks.Another thing I appreciate is the versatility. The threaded design allows me to easily connect accessories like hose adapters or filters, giving me even more options for customizing my rain barrel setup.Overall, I couldn't be happier with the RAINPAL RBS006 Stainless Steel Rain Barrel Spigot. It's durable, reliable, and easy to use – everything you could ask for in a rain barrel spigot. If you're looking to upgrade your rain barrel, look no further. This spigot gets the job done and then some.

I made a rain barrel to collect the run off from my eavestrough and wanted something that I could hook a hose up to for watering my garden. This was perfect. It has rubber washers on both sides for a tight seal. It's good quality, heavy duty. The valve opens and closes easily, and it's easy to install. I'd like to make another barrel, so I will definitely be ordering another one of these.

I am happy with this spigot...came back to buy another and now its not available. I only gave 4 stars because I have no idea how long the valve will last, but my impression is it will last far longer than the plastic one it replaced.Be sure you know how your barrel is assembled before selecting a spigot. Fortunately there appears to be a brass version of this coming soon, so I'm ordering that.

I got this spigot to replace a broken plastic one from a rain barrel. Seems sturdy and heavy, and shouldn't break like the original cheap spigot the rain barrel came with.I accidentally ordered a smaller size than what originally came with the barrel (by accidentally what I really mean is I didn't bother going out to measure the hole). Luckily for me I still had an original gasket that I used alongside the one that came with this spigot and it creates a complete seal - be sure to measure.Installing it was easy enough. The barrel is longer than my arm so it wasn't ideal but thankfully the spigot was easy to set up or extension tools would've been needed. The only thing that may pose an issue is the heaviness of the spigot. My rain barrel is collapsible with soft sides and I'm afraid it may cause a tear in the barrel. It shouldn't be an issue once the barrel fills up and is sturdier. For now I need to be gentle when opening the valve. This isn't necessarily an issue with the product itself, just something to consider when deciding if it is right for your application.

See my attached photos to see how I installed this spigot.1st of all, I wanted the stainless steel spigot because it contains no lead compared to the other spigots which do have lead. The handle is also tungsten I believe, not 100% sure, but it's not plastic. How to install: I initially thought I would tape an adjustable wrench with the inner part of the spigot attached to the adjustable wrench, until I realized that the adjustable wrench would not fit through the bung hole.So I got a 1 inch wrench and taped it to the end of our push broom handle. The 1 inch wrench fit through the bung hole. But first, after I drilled the 7/8 inch hole at the bottom, I taped the inner part of the spigot to the end of the pole, lowered it to the bottom to match up with the outside spigot part. I then got the outside spigot started to connect to the inner part. But it is not a tight seal since the inner spigot part keeps spinning around so it won't tighten further. So this is then when I taped the 1 inch wrench to the end of the pole, as shown in the photos, then put the bottom end of the wrench around the inner spigot part. This then held the inner spigot part firmly so I could tighten the outside part without the inside part continually spinning. Since I was now able to hold the inner part firm, I was then able to create a super tight, high-quality seal as I tighten the outside spigot part.On a Side Note: To make this rain barrel work to properly collect the water, I used collapsible or extendable rain gutter extension to go into the bung hole of the rain barrel to create the perfect rain barrel from a 55-gallon drum. that can still also be used as a water barrel. And at the end of the rain gutter extension I placed a screen filter and place that into a plastic funnel I got from the Dollar Store to ensure all water goes straight into the barrel without any spillage and the screen pre-filters debris such as leaves and twigs etc, from entering into the barrel.
