Works as advertised. I should mention, though, that when used with other audio snakes over ethernet, wiring/outputs can be different.I'm using mine with a Radial Catapult Mini TX and the inputs are all misaligned by one; a microphone that's plugged into input 1 of the Radial TX actually comes out of "4" on the Coluber. I rewrote the outputs on my Coluber to match what the Radial inputs are. Both halves of the Coluber are this way. I'm leaving this as a 5 star review since I'm not sure that this is Coluber's fault.

This is a great unit if you're looking to tidy up your stage, practice/studio space. Totally analog. This is not a digital device.Replace 8 xlr cables with just two shielded ethernet or etherCON cables. Since ethernet cable has multiple layers of shielding, I've noticed way less noise from EMF making for cleaner recordings. Must be paired with a male unit to complete the cable run. Ethernet thru makes splitting off signal easy to another area should you want to utilize signal at different locations.Wil pass phantom power with the use shielded ethernet cables.

The design is great, especially for split snake applications, however the holes in the rack ears do not allow you to rack them up without getting out the drill. This is something I've been seeing a lot of lately which non name brand products and ultimately led to me returning them.

Great to patch my 8 mics and line input over 2 Cat 8 to my stage rack. You’ll need to inject power at source for mics that need phantom power.
