It's not as good as Starbucks decaf Italian but if you like a chicory coffee, this is a good option! I keep it on hand to change things up- the convenience of instant makes it packable for trips which I love- or hen I jus want a little decaf cup after dinner instead of brewing a pot or wasting a k-cup. ;)

Always a perfect cup of coffee. Even for instant! I only use the Instant when traveling, and it's often I travel. At home I use the GROUND Dark Roast. 25+ yrs of Commmunity Coffee.

This coffee is really smooth. You can definitely tell that unlike Maxwell house or Folgers they actually care about the beans that they use in instant coffee. Just like Nescafé. All other manufacturers use cheap low grade robusta beans and you can taste it too. I can drink community coffee or Nescafé coffees like I drink perked coffee. Black. No sugar. Others are so bad I must use creamer and sweet n low and cinnamon just to be able to get it down. I appreciate a company that goes the extra mile and makes instants with arabicas. Many cannot tell the difference obviously. I can and appreciate community coffee and nestle for making the best instant coffee money can buy. Reminds me of instant coffee in Europe and Australia. Over there they have instant coffee that tastes much better than they do here. I wish community coffee would come out with a freeze dried coffee. I know it would taste just like perked, as tasters choice, americas leading freeze dried coffee does.

I love the taste of this Community Coffee Breakfast Blend instant coffee! I was actually buying the regular, non-instant version for a while from my local supermarket. I didn't even know they made instant coffee until I did some searching online.Appearance: The instant coffee itself is almost like a finely ground powder. (That's the best way I can describe it.) If I had to compare it to something, I'd say it's like a coarsely ground hot chocolate powder in terms of texture and appearance. The coffee itself mixes just as expected in hot water.Ease of use: For me, instant coffee is just quicker for me to make a cup. Especially in the morning when I'm on the go, as opposed to using a French press with ground coffee beans.Smoothness: Very smooth flavor. Breakfast Blend is definitely perfect for me for early morning. Tastes great!Strength: One spoonful is perfect for a standard size coffee mug. It's not overly powerful for me, like Folgers instant coffee can be.Value: I can say that this coffee is a tad pricey, but it's definitely worth the money if you want to have a great tasting cup of coffee! I'd say to definitely give it a try if you're looking for something different than the "major" brand name instant coffees at your local stores!

Considering that it is one of the cheapest available coffees, it tests a person in more ways than one. In my case, the first hurdle, which may or may not be a common issue, was not even related to the taste, aroma, and all the other coffee centric factors that are used to ascertain the quality of a coffee, but the questionable hygienic conditions of the place where the coffee is packaged. The coffee jar's lid contained what seemed to be animal hair, and I must admit that the first reaction was rather unpleasant. Although cheap, it did not come for free, and a person expects a product produced at industrial scale and for human consumption to meet certain minimum standards of hygiene. In that respect, this product has proven to be an utter failure. In terms of taste, it has a predominantly barley like taste, which in my case was another great disappointment. Just as another reviewer has said, if you can make it work in your chocolate or coco smoothies, then the bought product would probably won't go to waste. However, as a coffee, it is simply useless; if you're a person on a budget who likes a strong coffee with some aroma, then instead give a try. Although the suggested item is slightly more costly, but in terms of taste, quality of packaging, and ease of use, it definitely is satisfactory.P.S: As another reviewer has shown an interest in knowing the type, quality, and color of the hair, then it was short - probably 1.5" to 2" inches long - brown in color, had a very poor texture with splinters all along the shaft, and was very brittle. Concerning the apathy towards the hygiene, most people expect professionally produced products to meet certain minimum standards. An overly finicky or fastidious person would have considered it to be reason enough for a suit in the small claims court.
