Works good but is not 2 way. Does not give confirmation of command being executed. 2 way systems tell you if your car started or not. This is 1 way.

Very disappointed with this seller. While the CompuStar remote starter itself is great, the antenna had an issue. I spent a couple of months going back and forth with the seller trying to resolve the problem, but they were unhelpful and ultimately did not fix the issue. I ended up going to a CompuStar representative in my city, who, despite not selling me the product, replaced the faulty antenna for free. Save yourself the hassle and buy from a more reliable seller."

Great product

I have an older Compustar remote start system Model No. CS801-S with a one button remote start and 1 way communication. I have had for perhaps 7 years and it has worked flawlessly until recently. My remote range diminished rapidly to the point I had to be right next to my vehicle in order to operate it. I found this Compustar RF-2WR3-FM Prime R3 2-Way Single Button RF Kit and took a chance that it would work by replacing the original antenna and remotes with the equipment included in this kit.As I understood the scarce description of this unit anywhere on the net, I believed it was a plug and play replacement that would upgrade any Compustar system to a 3000 ft range with two way confirmation at the remote. The package contains one two way remote with a silver button and a 2nd one way remote with a black button. It also comes with led antenna, a quick start guide and some sort of bypass module which I did not need.To install it I simply pulled the control module out from under my dash and disconnected the original antenna and plugged in the new antenna. Now here is where the manufacturer, not the unit itself, lost one star for me. There are no instructions anywhere on the net for this unit. The only videos are of people pushing the buttons and operating it. The quick guide only tells you the procedure to connect the remotes to your remote start module. "Turn your ignition on and off 5 times before 7 seconds and tap the remote start button once". What it does not tell you or anywhere on the net is this will not work unless you pair the remote to the antenna first! I figured out that there is a button on the face of the antenna and when you tap it a red led lights up. You must then tap the button on the remote between 1 and 5 times until the led turns green and you hear and audible signal from the remote. It took a couple of attempts but it eventually worked. Sometimes you will get the green led but not the audible signal. If that happens it's not connected. Keep trying until you get both the green led and the signal. Once you have accomplished this you can now complete the ignition on/off procedure to connect to your vehicle. Confirmation will be the door locks and unlocks and you can start the vehicle after the control module exists the programming mode (Parking lights flashing twice).The features I like is that it is a simple one button control. One tap locks the door. Two taps unlocks the door. Hold the button for 3 seconds and the vehicle starts. Hold it again for 3 seconds if it is running and the vehicle will stop. With the 2 way remote you get audibles for locking, unlocking and multiple audibles for start confirmation. The remote also has visual led indicators for lock, unlock and start as well as a 4 led blinking indicator that the vehicle is in fact running which counts down from the 4 lights to no lights when the vehicle has stopped its remote start cycle.Overall this is an amazing upgrade that worked even on my 9 year old system by simply plugging it in. Comparably, for the price I could not have gotten a 2 way system back in the day for what I paid for the original unit and this add on together. It was totally worth the wait considering I have nearly quadrupled my operating distance and I now get confirmation that the vehicle started and is running. I hope this helps you decide if this upgrade is for you!
