This item kinda works. The item I received was not the one pictured. It is evidently an updated version that includes a third plug in that I believe is to accommodate an over ride switch to turn off the steps. The unit does operate the steps but it seems as though the timing cycle for power being sent to the steps is not the same as the original. With the original if you opened/closed one door a second or two after the other both steps would cycle completely which leads me to believe that each side had its own timing cycle. With this replacement it seems as though given the same scenario the first step will complete it's cycle but the power to the second step is cut before the second one can complete it's cycle. Also if you open one door and then once the step has deployed you then shut it right away the step will stop before fully retracting. But if you wait about 3 seconds to close the door the step will retract completely which to me indicates that the timing circuit had time to finish the opening cycle and then reset for the closing cycle. The seller did send out a replacement within a day of me requesting one but unfortunately the replacement did the same thing. I also noted that the step lights stayed on for and extended period of time as opposed to shutting off when the step retracted.
