I am outside quite a bit during the day working with dogs. Over the years my neck has taken a beating from the sun. I had been wearing a bandana tied around my neck and that protected the front, but not the back.I like this neck gaiter for 3 reasons:1. It stays up. I ordered 2 others, and they slouched down so far, only the bottom of my neck was protected.2. The flaps. The flaps go down inside a shirt, so if you're wearing a button up and don't want to button the top button; or a crew neck that curves down a bit in front, you're still protected from the sun.3. It's cool. If you wet it before you wear it, evaporation makes it stay nice and cool.

I ordered too small a size because they did not have a size chart for ordering. Although it has flaps on the back and front, it has no protection for your shoulder which will be exposed to the sun because of the neckline of most tops. The return was super easy. I just wish I could have had more info to order the correct size.

I'm very sensitive to sun and working mostly outside, so I'm wearing a gaiter all the time. Had a lot of different brands over the time and they are pretty much all the same. But this one stands out to the other one's because of it's flaps which you tuck in and provides additional protection where other gaiters leave your skin exposed. Very happy with them so I ordered a couple more.

I love this! I hike every morning in an area that is very sunny and I wanted something lightweight to protect my neck from always getting sunburned! I tried a few others but this one was perfect for my needs, I actually ended up buying 2 more!

The XL is indeed big enough for a 7 7/8 head size. The real selling point of this gaiter is the front and back bibs which keep it tucked into your shirt, and prevents sunburn at the collar-line. The problem is that the fabric is heavier than I expected. It’s essentially Jersey material similar to a t-shirt, which makes it hotter than others, holds sweat, and stretches out after a few minutes wear. The collection of sweat is a disappointment as it leaves a spot that’s wet far longer than my sun-blocking shirt. If this was a medium weight synthetic material with the bibs, it’d be perfect.
