I mean, this is a basic mesh vest like you'd use in touch football or something. It's pretty cheap, but the most annoying part is you have to make your own ice packs. I guess it's to be expected based on the price

I was hesitant to order this because I was afraid it wouldn't adjust big enough for me. But it does adjust enough to fit me - a bit tight, but it fits.The material feels like good quality. It's lightweight, thank goodness, because the ice packs do add a small bit of weight.It's easy to use - just be sure to follow the directions. Basically all you have to do is fill the ice packs and throw them in the freezer. Then, when you're ready to wear it, all you do is put it over your head, add the ice packs in the pockets, and adjust the straps. Boom - you're ready to stay cool in the heat!My dog and I love our hikes at the State Park that's just down the road. We've been kept indoors lately by 100° and higher temperatures. We don't do well when the heat makes us prisoners in our home - we like to be out in nature.I got my dog an ice collar and needed something similar for myself. This ice vest looked perfect and it fits the bill!We went out yesterday. It was 104°, without the heat index, so it was rough. But I felt like I was going to go nuts if I had to stay inside for one more day!I love that this vest has its own insulated carry bag. That's great because I don't need to wear it in the car. I put it and the dog's ice collar in the bag and they were perfectly cold when we arrived at our destination.When we got to the State Park, we suited up in our ice wear. The heat was ultra intense. The heat didn't hit me as hard as it usually does because of this vest.I was afraid to hike too far because of the heat. We took our time - strolled pretty slowly. But, we ended up having a pretty good hike.Normally, we're both panting and about to fall out when we finish our walk. When we finished yesterday, we were pretty darn warm, but my vest kept me from overheating. I was so happy with how well the vest did. There was still ice left when we finished!I love this vest - what a great tool to enable us to be outdoors. Of course, with this kind of heat, I still have to be cautious. But this vest makes all the difference in the world!I'm very pleased with this vest and recommend it.
