Best copper test strips in the world
Copper is very effective at controlling algae in swimming pools, but it must be properly regulated. If the level is too low, your water will turn green which is expensive and time consuming to fix. If it's too high, you could get staining which is also difficult to fix.
Most copper test strips are not very accurate. It's hard to distinguish between the colors so it's hard to be confident of the levels. Usually, the level is higher than what the test shows which means you are using up your copper products too quickly and could get nasty stains.
The drop tests are the most accurate, but they are also the slowest and most expensive. It's hard to distinguish the blue color used in the reading, vs the purple in our strips.
Don't be fooled by strips that offer more than one test. It's usually a tradeoff in accuracy between the various tests which means you don't get an accurate result for anything. The process used for detecting copper vs. pH, alkalinity and other metrics is different so it doesn't make sense to combine them.

A copper test strap and comparison chart that is easy to read. I tried several other brands but it was hard to tell what the actual reading was. I will continue to order these.

Upon receipt, tested our pool water. Showed absolutely ZERO copper. Took water sample to pool store the same day and water tested perfect EXCEPT high copper at .03. Useless, apparently.

This copper test kit works okay and is easy enough to use and read. I recently got an ionizer for my pool so I wanted to be able to check the copper levels to be sure the pool is balanced as it should be. This package contains 25 test strips but I feels the kit is too expensive.

These strips need several steps to be followed before you get a readout. They are not like other strips that you just dip and read. However, this is not a dealbreaker, and the readings seem accurate.I will update this review if needed based on further experience.

My pool vacuum broke earlier in the year as did the control panel, which allowed algae to get a partial foothold in my pool. Since this happened when temps were below 60 degrees Fahrenheit, I had to resort to algaecide to clear it. After everything was back in working order and the weather warmed up, we had family over for a swim party. The copper from the algaecide, which was not registered by my pool test strips turned some of my family's hair and certain clothing to Statue-of-Liberty green in spots. I figured out a method to get the excess copper out of the pool, but these test strips, which register instantly, told me my method was working. I also bought some other strips to check other metals while I was at it, and now my pool sparkles a bit more than it did before. Well Recommended!
