Decent polisher but not perfect. I couldn't install the original Makita battery as the holder / interface was slightly uneven. I was forced to machine it and slightly cut plastic in several places.

I was a little skeptical about a battery powered buffer that would bog down, but it had plenty of power and it's pretty nice light in hand, which is really important if you're wielding the thing for an hour or so. Uses Makita batteries and even came in the Makita color scheme.

I've been using this Cordless Car Buffer/Polisher which is compatible with Makita 18V batteries for detailing my car. It's remarkably lightweight for a cordless tool, which reduces fatigue during long polishing sessions. The variable speed settings from 2800 to 5800 RPM give you great control over the polishing or waxing task at hand, suitable for everything from gentle buffing to more aggressive paint correction. However, it's worth noting that this model doesn't come with a battery, so you'll need to have Makita 18V batteries on hand. The build quality feels solid and the brushless motor is efficient. It's versatile too, not just for cars but for household items like furniture or metal surfaces.Bottom Line: This cordless buffer polisher is a solid choice for those already invested in the Makita 18V battery system. It provides flexibility and ease of use without the hassle of cords, making it ideal for car detailing and other polishing tasks. If you're looking for a reliable, portable polisher, this one delivers.

[PROS] 👍✔Powerful brushless motor✔8 speed control✔9 mm random orbital[CONS] 👎✘Tool does not come with the 18-v battery needed to power the tool which is an added $50 in cost when searching through Amazon for the battery[PRODUCT EXPERIENCE] ★ ★ ★ ★ (4 stars)👉Cordless car buffer polisher sold for 78.99$ at the time of this review. I love that this is cordless so no tangling or limits to where you want to take it. It is quite heavy but works quite well. I mostly use this buffer for my furniture refurbishing and highly recommend this buffer however I would have liked for the seller to include a battery because most people don't have a 18V battery handy.

I have always wax and polish my cars by hand which takes a long time and is a lot of work. This polisher makes it so much easier and faster too. It comes with a variety of pads. It is only the polisher and doesn't come with batteries. Fortunately the aftermarket Makita compatible batteries are relatively inexpensive and easy to find. This polisher is easy to operate and does a great job buffering and polishing my car. I have only used it once but it it had turned out great.

I'm a recent convert to car polishing, and have been using a very heavy-duty corded polisher/buffer to do it. I could say that the device that I have is both very heavy-duty, and just plain very heavy. My device will survive the apocalypse. I think I can recast it as an angle grinder. My arms are killing me by the time I've done half of what I want to on a car. This new device seemed like it would be both lighter in weight and easier to maneuver without a cord, so I ordered it. Both assumptions have proved to be true. It has many different speed settings (way more than I would ever need, truth be told), but that's convenient. Better than having too few. It is very comfortable to hold, and easy to maneuver. You did see that it doesn't come with a battery, right? No battery. That's not a problem for me on the one hand, because I already have about 10 or 12 ~20v batteries of all different Ah ratings. On the other hand, however, all of these batteries are for Black & Decker tools, not for Makita tools, which is what this device is compatible with. However, I was able to buy a $15 adapter that converts a B&D battery to fit a Makita tool, so now I have all the power that I need to drive this buffer.I like this tool a lot. Highly recommended.
