#1. It will not cut very small branches — about 1/4 of an inch. It simply stops working.#2. It is difficult to operate as you have to press two buttons (this is normal). But the location of the buttons makes it very difficult to operate for any length of time. Further one of the buttons has an edge for very small fingers, almost impossible to press by an adult man.#3 changing blades is very difficult because of the design of the latches that lock the blade to the tool. It takes considerable effort or to align the latches so it can lock the blade in place.

I loved how the 3" grass trimmer worked, it was great. Easy to use, lightweight. The hedge trimmer was not as efficient. After 45 seconds it broke at the connection to the base unit. I called Amazon for help to order extra blades for the grass trimmer. The Amazon lady tried everything to find information for me. Got a phone number but it was for a car company. DO NOT BY THIS PRODUCT FROM THIS COMPANY. YOU CAN'T GET EXTRA BLADES.

I am giving this item 4 stars due to the fact that the description is written to look like it was a DeWalt product. However, it does work with a DeWalt battery which made it easy to use without the need to purchase one separately as we already use DeWalt products and had the 20V required. Hoping that the product is durable and lasts for at least a few seasons. It is lightweight, easy to use and does a nice job of trimming around my flowers etc. which was the point.

I was surprised how easy this was to handle. It is very balanced with the battery attached. I use it to trim back perennials when they turn brown. I also use it to trim small bushes. I would not use it to trim a large hedge. In that case I would use a two-handed hedge trimmer.
