Love Corona cutters, yet better lock design would be helpful ... gets in way when using pruner if not carefully poisoned and can even still end up in the way after carefully positioned 🤔😥😥😥

They are very sturdy and I like how the blade and handle are one piece of metal. Fits comfortably in your hand and the sharp blades makes cutting super easy. Totally worth it!!

I got these to cut back some rose bushes that were getting really out of control. They're very sharp and easy to cut stuff up to around 0.75" (I haven't tried anything larger than that.) If you need a pair of general purpose garden shears, these should be an excellent choice.

This is an upgrade to a Corona pruner that I used for many years. I like the hidden spring and the way it locks the pruner shut. My other one had a little loop that kept getting stuck in the external spring or getting mashed when I closed the pruner. However, I almost returned this new pruner for another because I could not get the locking mechanism to work. The bar you twist was too long or the slot it goes into was too short. Then I accidentally discovered that you have to squeeze the handles really hard and then the bar you twist will go into the slot. The rubber between the handles is just a little big and you have to squeeze to mash the rubber together.

I have gone through several pairs of sheers and pruners, and the last time the plastic handle of my well-reviewed "quality" sheers broke, I had had enough. I liked the look of these because they are all steel and have a replaceable blade. They are the only ones I could find at a reasonable price that looked to be good quality and met these two requirements. Now that I have them in my hands and have done some pruning with them, I'm confident that these will last a good long time and my only concern is that the blade appears to be good quality steel with room for sharpening, so I suspect by the time I need it the replacement blades won't be sold anymore. Of course, robots may be doing the pruning by then too. They are heavy. I'm a small middle-aged man, and they feel great, but I could see them potentially being too heavy for someone much older or more delicate than me. Otherwise, I would recommend these to anyone.

These all-metal pruners should last a lifetime.I've owned many pruners. They have all contained plastic parts, had limited strength, and eventually broke. These aren't as comfortable in the hand as many of the plastic handled pruners are, but then again these are built to last.

Since my initial review, I have come to hate these. With a lit of use they still cut smoothly but with some effort,l and the blade is of decent quality, there are some very irritating design features that have made using them quite unpleasant. First, the handles are too close together. When a branch gives way and the snips snap closed, My fingertips hit the handle in my palm, and after a few painful cuts they feel bruised. Secondly, the blade lock is free wheeling and the snips will lock open while in use time after time after time. I can't tighten it. Finally, the handles, though minimally cushioned,, are not very comfortable to grip. These were'nt the most expensive snips on Amazon, but they weren't cheap either. I have some much cheaper snips from Walmart that are much easier and more comfortable to use, and have held up quite well. I deem these NOT RECOMMENDED.

Occasionally these will lock open, and it takes me a moment every time because I think I'm missing something. This could be easily fixed.Otherwise the are my favorite pruning shears. Sturdy, the blades are one piece straight through the handle with rubber grip overlay. I lost an older pair in the grass a few days prior (thus the purchase), and found it wet with no rust. Well made.
