I wanted to replace my propane insert since it was old and direct vented into the house. Many recent studies have explained how the emissions from combustion vented directly into the home are causing health problems. Having a simple electric heater is just simpler as well. No open flame to worry about. This one has worked great for us all winter. The graphics are nice and can be used all year round. It puts out a good amount of heat of the high setting in our living room. The remote works well and the built in timer feature is handy when I want a little extra heat in the house when I go to bed but don't want it to run all night. Very pleased with the product and it took a master of minutes to install.

So, let me start off by commending Costway for their amazing customer support. There was a big shipping delay and a bit of confusion with the carrier as it related to the progress of my shipment. Even though Costway was in no way at fault for the issue, they kept me informed of the progress, and once the insert arrived, they issued a $16.00 refund for the delayed arrival.The insert itself fit perfectly inside our fireplace. It was easy to install, and it works and looks great! It also heats our living room quickly, even on the low setting.We are very happy with our purchase.

I purchased this fireplace 1and half ago and the heating element is not working. The company gave me no resolutions. Waste of money.
