Came with missing parts....over heats...barely makes cotton candy

Me and my neice used it to make some cotton candy today. It was pretty easy to setup and get started. She basically did it herself. She's 10. Comes with everything you need to get started, except the sugar. So you'll need get the sugar to get started. You can always use regular sugar like we did, but it's best to get the flavored/colored sugar from Amazon (or wherever). I will say, it would've been nice if it came with at least a single packet of sugar to get started so that a kid can use it the first day. Otherwise, happy with the product.

List of parts on instruction sheet and parts received weren’t the same. Instructions mentions to screw wheels in, but no screws were provided. Instead I Received red plastic supposed screws that were tough to fit. Legs too had to be slid in, but instructions mentioned to screw them in. We searched high and low for the listed 8 screws, thought the kids lost them while opening their gifts, and even resorted to trying screws from our tool box to see if they’ll fit. After figuring out the 4 pieces of red plastic pieces (not mentioned in instruction sheet) we managed to put it together, and got it to make some good cotton candy finally.

The kids were very excited to see their cotton candy machine. However, the screws for the wheels were missing, and the machine produced a very tiny bit of candy. Needless to say, we are quite disappointed.

Assembly was strange, the instructions didn't match what we got, they showed putting it together with screws but there were non and it was just a lock in place attachment for the legs. The legs bowed inwards, more of an esthetic thing than any issue on the function.The instructions were not very good at explain what to do.When we fired it up we didn't know what to expect as I have never made cotton candy ever. Once it got going it worked great, my son played with different techiest to get the candy on the stick. Once we got it figured out and mastered not accidently touching to center with out candy (it melts it into a solid sugar clump) Not that the kids cared they ate it.All the kids ranging in age from 4-13 had a blast and loved making their own cotton candy.Clean up on the other hand was a little tricky with the heating element getting sugar on the outside but you cant wash it like all the other parts.

The assembly of the unit was difficult. The instructions state it comes with screws but it comes with push in plastic clips, which are very very difficult to put in. The legs have holes to screw in but there aren't screw holes in the base for the legs. Due to these assembly issues I decided to take 1 star away. Beside this draw back we are very happy with the unit. Works just like the instructions say. Bought specific cotton candy sugar for the unit. It does take a little bit of practice to perfect the process but once you get the hang of it the kids and adults will love it! For the price is spot on! I would definitely recommend it.
