One side on the top doesn't lift so it's hard to reach the back corner. Also, my husband had a really hard time building it. Our large (Maine Coone) cat sits on top of the enclosure with no problem. We have 5 chicks in there and they're all safe with plenty of room. I like that we can take it outside and they're directly on the grass as well (it has no floor).

This took my husband and I awhile to put together. Once we got it though- I was overjoyed! Its a fairly decent size and made of good quality, & treated wood. Works great as a temporary chicken coop. Think it's a good product for the price.

This portable run looks like the pictures once assembled, but you DO have to assemble it. The title specifically states “NO ASSEMBLY” which is inaccurate. Once assembled you don’t have to take it apart as it does fold, but you’ll need some basic construction skills/tools to assemble it correctly. I used much better screws than the ones it came with. The quality of the wood is mediocre at best. The chicken wire is pretty basic as well. I would NOT use this without supervision unless your lawn is perfectly flat and you have no predators. This works fine for letting my animals out while I’m outside.I took off a star for the inaccurate description, another star for the low quality, and a third star for the price which is quite high. I could assemble this with supplies from my local hardware store for much less. However, if you don’t have any construction skills and want something that takes only a little work to assemble, this run is fine.

It's nice a little different to put together. It's easy but you got to make sure all parts are facing the correct direction to put together. But for any small pet or 1 or 2 hennys. It works

I have a bantam hen that had to be separated from the others. I got this for her and it's a great solution until we can get another chicken coop built. It's really convenient because we can very easily set it up in whatever area of the yard we choose during the day and then simply put it over a waterproof pad inside the house when we bring her in. She really seems to like it a lot and it's actually very roomy for her. The quality of this cage is great, but the assembly was a little aggravating in my opinion. It was definitely worth that little bit of aggravation though. We tried to be extra careful in ensuring that we had all the pieces positioned correctly, but we did end up having to redo one of the pieces. I don't really feel the instructions are overly great, but they aren't horrible either. I do think they could be a little more detailed though instead of just primarily being pictures. I took a star off because one panel arrived with bent wire and the door panel arrived with damage to the wood. Neither issue affects the functionality of the cage, but I don't feel there should've been cosmetic issues straight out of the box. The box was not damaged in any way and the missing chunk of wood wasn't present in the box so it had to have been packed from the factory that way. I should also say that we can't get ours to fold down as shown in the pictures because we installed the included wood support bar. Perhaps it's somehow possible to fold it down without removing it, but we weren't able to get it to fold down once we screwed in the support. Overall, I'm pleased with this cage. I think it's a decent enough value for the retail ($110) because it looks good and feels sturdy. It works out really well for my bantam hen so I would definitely recommend it for a chicken.

I got this for my backyard flock of 5 laying hens. I wanted to give them more space and rotate their access to grass and bugs. Unfortunately, this didn't even get fully assembled. One panel had wire already detached. I figured I could fix that, annoying as it was, and kept going. One of the long side panels was basically split in half. The wood just cracked down the grain and split. Maybe something happened during shipping, but looking at the rest of the pieces, I would say even odds between shipping damage and low-quality wood that was cut too thin. Bummer.

We use this for our bearded dragon to get some UV rays safely in the back yard since he is not a fan of wearing a leash. This gives a good amount of space for him, but still folds easily to bring inside and let him run around and watch us when it's too cold outside and he needs to get out of his enclosure for a bit. Also stands up very well to wind. We left it outside during Santa Ana winds here and it stayed put on the patio.
