Works great on bicycles but won't attach to car (Yaris) tire valves. No clearance.

This is for the CRAFTERS 1600psi Foot Pump. There are so many design features that make this the best manual pump I've ever owned. Most of them have to do with durability. We primarily use foot pumps on vehicle tires, which is a lot for home-use, manual pumps to handle.I've gone through many foot pumps that have fallen apart, and a couple in ways that were very dangerous. This pump has a solution for all of the parts that have failed on previous pumps. The most common failures are at the joints of the arms that fold to compress/retract the pedal, and the springs to retract the pedal. I've also had the hydraulics break through the body of the pump. Basically, all the moving parts. This pump is built like a commercial piece of equipment, yet the price is very similar to the lightweight units available in my local stores. That makes this an amazing value!I keep foot pumps in our cars in case we get low on air while on the road. I also have someone I the family who will only buy used tires, so they always run into situations where the tire is low on air. Always! We also have dollies, wheel barrows, and a snow blower with inflatable tires. Our pumps get used a lot. This pump is heavy-duty and the dual hydraulic pumps really speed up the process. Every component on this pump is heavyweight, quality material. Even the rubber pad over the foot pedal is heavyweight and made to last.Weighing this on a food scale, it is just about 3.5 lbs. That kind of weight is necessary for the kind of durability you get, but it means this pump isn't a great option for carrying around in a backpack. The psi gauge is very handy to have built in and it is accurate (based on readings from our separate gauges).I have ordered two more of these, for other vehicles, and if you have any use for a manual pump, you can't go wrong with this. Well... Unless you want one to carry around on a bike or for hiking. This would be too heavy and bulky for that, in my opinion, but you don't need anything this heavy-duty for bicycle tires or inflatables, but for inflating at home, this would make fast work of inflatable beds and toys, and you know it would last forever.

So far I've only used it to inflate a basketball. I hope it works on car tires too, since the main reason I bought it was to have a good mechanical backup for my electric tire inflator. The valve chuck is a point of interest, by the way, in that it doesn't discriminate between the two adapter ports when the lever is down; but when the lever is up, it toggles the air flow according to the pressure variance it picks up at the output, favoring one port and closing the other internally - similar, in principle, to an LPG or NG demand regulator. Very clever. And not that I think it will, but if the chuck ever fails I will simply cut it off and replace it with a Lock-N-Flate and hose adapter. Boom! Problem solved.

I've never used the pump that was so amazingly effortless to use. It's also very stable. Other pumps of its kind tend to want to tip over as you're using them. This one here is so easy to use I can use only the weight of my leg to pump up the tire.

As soon as I opened this pump I was immediately impressed by its size and quality. I was not expecting it to be so large and well built compared to other foot pumps I’ve used. It is heavy (in a good way) and the main components are made from thick, strong metal. I also really like that it has sliding clips to keep it closed for storage, and that the hose wraps neatly around it when not in use. Additionally, is very convenient that the included inflation tools are tethered right there to the hose. We like how easy it is to throw this in the trunk when we’re headed to the park, as it is definitely less awkward and more portable than bringing along a traditional floor pump.As far as the pump’s operation goes, we tested it on several objects, and found that while it does take quite a bit of pumping to fill up a medium tire, such as those on wheelbarrow, it can fill a small bike tire or ball quickly. I would say it’s on par with most other large bike pumps I’ve used, but the difference is you can utilize gravity and your leg strength to operate the pump, instead of pumping your whole upper body up and down and tiring out your arms and shoulders. Ultimately, this foot pump is much easier and less strenuous than any traditional floor pump I’ve used.Overall I’m very impressed by the build quality and functionality of this pump, and I’ve found it to be a significant upgrade from the traditional floor pump I was using. Easy 5* and highly recommend.
