Floor pumps, on the other hand, offer bigger air potential, in faster and mores table applications, and the Crank Brothers Gem Floor Pump is one to achieve just that -- big pressure in short amounts of time. It uses a large chamber to send out massive volumes of air into your tire in quick pumps, and has a foot-activated switch for switching things up when you need to run high-pressure instead. When the switch is activated, the pump uses a smaller air chamber, offering shorter bursts of air, but capable of achieving pressures as high as 160-PSI, for quick-rolling road riding. The Gem comes to you ready to run both Presta and Schrader valves, and has a hidden needle and plastic valve adapter for the days when you need to pump up other sporting goods from your garage.

The pump works really well. I would not go back to a single stage pump. The two stages for high volume or high pressure are really useful for tires with 100+ psig. The gauge sticks or the pressure path to the gauge does not open consistently, so the pressure reading could be off by 3-5 psig. I'll figure it out with another gauge.

Gauge is definitely not accurate. I have a top of the line air pressure gauge and the gauge on the pump is showing roughly 5 to 6psi higher than what it is. That's not a problem for me, as i dial my pressures with the gauge.Pumps easy to use and the HV/HP thing is a nice touch. I'll be curious to see if i can seat a tubeless tire with this pump. If not, i have the Air Compressor but it would be nice if possible. My spare bike was sitting at 15psi on the rear tire, and it pumped it up to 26psi nice and fast. Hopefully it has longevity and will last for years to come.

This is a very sturdy, well-built pump. There is a switch that allows you to choose whether you want to move larger volumes of air(like for larger tires) or generate higher pressure (like pressures >85 psi for road tires). I’ll be enjoying this pump for a long time.

This pump feels built better than any I have owned in 20 years. I just got it, so I cant speak to longevity. I can say the high vs low volume switch does work, but high volume pumping gets hard around 15psi. I dont mind using the other setting, you need to do more pumps to inflate a tire, but it is easy to do.Update: This pumps well, but the gauge is extremely inaccurate. It is 7-8 psi high. That is REALLY bad. It is borderline a defective product and really shouldn't be being sold like that. Crank Bros should fix that issue. Until then, i'd suggest buying something else. If it was within the return window, i'd be returning this.

Outside of the obvious name brand, this floor pump works as advertised. While made of plastic, it feels solid and puts air in the tubes quickly. Great product crankbros

High pressure for my road/gravel bikes, and repair bikes. (I repair bikes for my neighborhood). High volume for my MTB bikes(almost impossible to find a high volume manual pump).This bad boy does both. Handles Presta and Schrader valves with a quality coupling. This is the second one we have purchased in our family of cyclists. No adapters nesessary.

Use this Crankbrothers floor pump for my road bike. It fits schrader and presta valves. Contra the usual set-up the lever is lifted upward to begin inflating, not pushed down. The most impressive and welcome feature is the dual mode (low and high volume). With the mere flip of a lever with your foot, it changes between high and low volume, use the high for initial pumping, and when resistance increases, it changes to low, which makes it MUCH easier to inflate in the 80 to 110 psi range. Also, an extremely good value with top quality materials apparent so far after a couple months frequent use. Highly recommend..

Smooth operation with either the high pressure or high volume setting. Love that feature. Easy to read gauge and stable. The high pressure/volume switch seems a bit flimsy but I have not had any problems so far. Also easy to attach to valve stem.
