Major improvement on my Ender 3 neo max 3 d printer allowing higher temperatures and consistent flow of material. Wish i had gotten it early as it is night a day difference . Easy to install after printing mount for height and then setting z offset, and doing a PID, the thing work perfectly

Okay, so I wanted to upgrade my older CR10 S4 when it's hotend bit the dust, so I could print some of the new CF filaments that require higher temperatures. I've seen in this and other ads where they claim that it's compatible, or compatible with "slight modifications".This is just a flat out lie.It turns out that this new hotend (Speedy Spider 4.0) _requires_ a 24V power supply, which the CR10 didn't incorporate until the CR10V2 models, iirc. So, I needed to replace my power supply with a 24V version, all the old 12V fans, and the old 12V print bed heater before I could even try to use this. Luckily my mainboard was just new enough that it could work with a 24V supply - I think the next older mainboard versions did not. There seems to be very scant info on doing this upgrade anywhere (including reddit), so I had to figure all this out on my own. Seems to be working great now that I've done all this, but it would have been nice to know what I was getting into before purchasing. I'm pretty sure that this is the sole cause of the high return rate that this unit has.

Easy install, looks great fits snuggly. However I’ve spent TWO days troubleshooting thermal runaway issues and it just not heating up. Old hot end works just fine. Got half way through a print was working great for half a print. From all the reviews I have read online. Skip this and get a different hot end.

This item was purchased as a Christmas gift for my son, it was purchased back at the end of October and wasn't opened up until Christmas day. When it was installed, all directions were followed as to not ruin anything. Fast forward less than 90 days of use and my son had noticed the print quality was diminishing slowly at first. Wasn't until he tried to make a small print that it finally smoked and quit working. Not only did it fry the hotend, it fried the motherboard due to it shorting out. I did reach out to the manufacturer Creality but they stated out of warranty and so sorry for the issue you are having, we can offer you a coupon in our store as a token but basically they stated we don't care about customers and do not stand behind our products. If you do decide to get any type of 3D printer, stay away from Creality and spend the money and get a better quality printer. I went the cheap route and guess what, I got what I paid for, a piece of dung....

Once you get it setup properly it's wonderful, but for those who need special wiring due to their head setup keep in mind that the wires near the nozzle are absolute HELL to deal with.These wires are tiny, brutal and are aluminum so they cannot be soldered.I am buying my second one, not because the first stopped working, but because one of these stupid-tiny wires broke at some point and it's impossible to fix that.They need to use much, much bigger wires (like 3x bigger). You will freak out when you see the size of these wires because they're extremely easy to break.Again, I am not talking about the long wire extensions that go to your motherboard but the part of wiring that is near the hotend itself. Move that a bit too much and you snap a wire, then you can throw the whole thing away.

this review is for the speedy spider ceramic hot end.i picked this up for my ender 3 pro.when i plugged it in, the printer throws out an error and does not heat up.installing this was very easy and there is only 2 plugs.. i checked the connections and its getting power.i checked the resistance of the heating element and my meter says OL. my original hot ends heating element is 10 ohms.i contacted support, i figured they would offer a replacement or something, but they did not. so i had to return it.another thing to note.. it says it comes with a 0.4mm nozzle, mine came with a 0.8mm.overall i wish this worked.. it seems like a decent hot end. altho i dont like how you cant replace anything and its basically a throw away item.

I bought a MicroSwiss direct drive kit to put on my Ender-5 Pro, but instead of the MicroSwiss hotend, I used the Spider hotend with it. Works great! I didn't install the firmware to take it up to 300°, but I don't really need to on my Ender-5 Pro. I'm not sure it's the right printer for that kind of printing. I will say that you can definitely turn up your speeds with this hotend.

So far the hot end is working like a champ. The install was quick and easy. You must rehome your printer. Than adjust the z height, This hot end is a little longer than the stock one. The warm up time was quicker. The hot end is excellent quality,
