Got these to startle wildlife and attempt to keep them out of our woodline and off our property. Makes a loud enough sound at random intervals, to startle non-predatory wildlife like deer and such. Won’t scare them all away, but does seem to be helping reduce the frequency and amount of unwanted critters visiting. Battery life is fine and a common size so easy to replace. Works as advertised, and a good value for the $. We put them in small plastic bottles with the bottom cut off, that act as tiny megaphones for the beep noises, while keeping weather off the device.

These work fantastic, very easy to use and small enough to hide well, loud enough to work perfect and they have a great battery life. I recently quit a job and moved cities, when I did I hid 9 of these around the workplace. In the ceiling tiles, behind picture frames, under bathroom sinks, behind white boards, on top of a mounted projector, etc… I remained good friends with some of the people who work there and have been informed that they still have not found all of them and they’re still working.

These are great. 3 for $12 not bad. TheCricket noise isn’t 100%, but like other reviews hide it in something or wrap with a little toilet paper and it’s good to go! They are small and easy to hide. I have only had it a couple days so can’t quite say for battery life.

2 work great, full range of sounds, small as described. One came with a broken on/off switch. Their are other options on Amazon, I wouldn't buy this one again.

Put one of these in my coworker’s monitor when he was gone on vacation—he came back and spent 3 weeks trying to figure out where the sound was coming from. I have high-frequency hearing loss, so I could never hear it. Great prank!

Pros: they are small, variety of sounds to chooseCons: no real cricket sounds but more like electronics, like a phone notification, not as loud as expected, but they can be heard. I wouldn't say it is annoying

I hid these throughout the office and would turn them off and on, people were going nuts trying to find the cricket LOL
