These are perfect for our oddly positioned laundry closet doors. The doors are around two inches from the top molding and there is no room on the floor, so we were struggling to figure out how to keep the doors closed. We attached the long part to the top molding and then small suction part to the door. It's perfect for the space especially because we are the only ones who use it. The one downside is it was hard to line the two pieces up perfectly when I installed them. I was able to get one door to line up, but the other door is slightly off. The two pieces don't exactly line up but luckily the magnet is so strong that the door still catches and stays closed. It's actually easier to open because they magnets don't fully catch. I'm still not sure how the push to release works because I just pull the doors open.

Every Spring when we open all the windows in our house, the wind will slam the doors of our master bedroom and my office because of the way they line up. These replaced the door stops on those two rooms and the doors will never slam again. The magnets are more than powerful enough to counteract the wind, but they are still easy enough to separate during normal use. There is also a spring in one half so that the door doesn't bang against the stop. I bought the silver and the finish is very nice.A few installation pointers.1. If you are replacing old door stops, keep in mind that these may need to be placed higher on the trim or even on the wall because the disc on the door side may end up below the bottom of your door - depending on how much clearance you have at the bottom.2. The instructions talk about marking holes before you drill them. After you line everything up, I'd recommend just drilling the screws into the wall side with the plate in place. If you need to install anchors, then just remove the screws and use those as guide holes to drill for anchors.3. For the smaller piece on the door, use the round adhesive discs. With the door open and the wall side installed, apply an adhesive disk to the smaller part that will go on the door, remove the backer from the other side of the sticker, let the magnetic part of the small part attract itself to the magnet on the door part, make sure they are lined up nice, and open the door all the way so that the sticky part on the small piece sticks firmly to the back of your door. When you open the door, the small piece should stick to it in the exact right place. Unscrew the small cover as explained in the instructions and insert the screws in this part, and screw the cover back on.

I like these types of door stoppers because they hold the door in place using a strong magnet. This item came in a two pack and was well packaged and included everything you need for install (adhesive option or anchors/screws). The instructions were easy to follow. The magnet is strong for this door stopper and holds the door well in its place, but not too strong where it makes it difficult to release the magnet in order to close the door. I gave it 4 stars because I do not like the metal plate that shows on both pieces. It could be without to give the item a more polished look. Also, the metal plate feels as if you could cut yourself when having to remove it from the stopper in order to install it to the door and wall. The price is good. It is well made, with exception of the metal plate feeling sharp.

I didn’t screw mine in, I used the “peel off stick” method. It sticks VERY well and so easy to install. They look sharp in the house and the magnet is strong to keep it fastened. Highly recommend💯

My son’s door would never stay open and this worked great. I used the adhesive to install and so far has held up great-even with a teenage boy!

These magnetic door stoppers are great and a nice value as well. You must drill and mount the baseboard side for sure. The 2 sided tape does not hold for long at all. But a great value and product. Easy to do!
