This tool has opened up my lathe game. Eats through 20 year dry hard maple to cut off the blank into my hand. Never was able to do this until this tool offered real control of the process. Well done. Doesn’t come sharp. D$$m sharp when sharpened. Love it.

used this parting tool on quite a few turning projects and now this is my preferred parting tool. It does not heat up like other parting tools I have used and it stays sharp longer than other parting tools I have used in the last 6 years od wood turning. Highly recommend!

Does the job, did require sharpening upon receipt. Does the job, does not work well on resin/acrylic, which is what I purchased it for, but works on my wood turnings.

Nice sturdy handle with decent steel. It's not the same as an $80 gouge but for half the price it's a great value. I sharpened it on receipt, and it's held up pretty well for the first couple of uses. I haven't had as much time to turn as I would like but it seems like it's not a bottom of the barrel tool with decent edge holding ability. It wasn't too sharp from the factory but it didn't fight taking an edge, so I call this one a win.
