Apache Tears 1/2 Pound
Apache Tears is the nickname of black obsidian found in the western part of the United States. It is naturally formed volcanic glass that has a natural tumbled look. Also called marekanite, it is formed when perlite is incompletely hydrated during the cooling process. The name apache tears comes from a legend of native american warriors riding there horses over a cliff rather than be defeated in battle. When the tears of there wives and children hit the ground they instantly turned to stone. Surprisingly the stone is thought to bring good luck. Apache Tears are commonly associated with the root chakra.
This lot of rough apache tears comes in a velvet bag. These bags are very handy with keeping your stones together for storage or transport. The velvet gives it an extra layer of protection from damage.

Apache Tears are one of my favorite all around stones. I also give one to a client after a Reiki Session. They add a sense of calm and reminder to hold your space that doesn't always come with other stones. This had great energy, and I am very pleased with my purchase.
