As a automotive tech who works on primarily Subaru, this tool works perfectly.

Was able to remove fuel lines in seconds. Needed to flex the tool a little to get it around the metal mounting bracket.

Was skeptical at first from the reviews I read, but once I received it and gave it a go it popped off the quick disconnect fuel line easily.

Definitely feels a little pricey considering it's a very thin piece of plastic. The tool didn't fit very well on my 2011 STi, but I was able to make it work with some effort. Ultimately, it did it's job, but could work much better with some design modification.

Like some other reviewers have mentioned, there's some uncertainty if this will work on your model of Subaru. As-received it would not clear the fuel line brackets and obstructions on my 2013 Forester XT. But I eventually decided to separate the two halves, which allowed me to work each half in one at a time. Fortunately, because it's made of plastic, it's pliable enough to sort of force it around obstructions. You'll have to insert one half, and then rotate it around the pipe axis, to make room to get the second half inserted. But, if you're reasonably handy, you can get it to work on a Forester XT. And I think it is still much easier than fiddling with pins and other makeshift tools. I took off one star because it's expensive for something that did not work without modification.

I tried this tool on two different fuel line connectors with no luck. I watched tutorial videos on Youtube, read forum posts, tried everything. I think the problem is that the "compressors" are too thin and don't depress the clips inside the connector. There were two other connectors I couldn't even get the tool into due to the shape of the hard lines that feed the fuel rails. I would have to grind off the end of the "prongs" to get it to fit.On top of all that, the tool is pricey for a piece of nylon that only has one use.I ended up using two picks. It wasn't difficult at all once I got the feel for it. As long as you only go about 1/2" into the connector, there's no risk of damage to the seal.If you really want a dedicated fuel line tool for your Subaru, try the Company 23 version, people seem to like it.

Works as intended. Subaru uses a specially sized fuel line and fitting that requires a slightly thinner-walled tool than the usual kits have, and they also cannot be 1 piece design because of the fuel rail moldings. This tool fixes both those issues while keeping the pieces together so you don't lose them. Very handy, I use this multiple times a week as a Subaru tech.
