If you like to bake and cook, you know it's also about presentation as well as taste. This type of zester helps with both.Who doesn't love lemon bars? I use this zester to get the right amount of extra lemon in the batter, and after they are cooled and the powdered sugar sprinkled on top, a few strips of zest on top is the finishing touch.Just be careful not to press too hard when using citrus, because as soon as you hit the white pith, it's bitter. All those delicious lovely oils are in the colored part of the peel.Happy baking!PS. When I get a nice price on organic citrus, any kind from grapefruit to oranges to limes... I make sure to use every single part of the fruit.After zesting the fruit completely, the zest goes on a coffee filter or paper towel to dry. When it's completely dry you've got it on hand to put in cakes or cookies.

Really hard to get a zest out of this. It's dull all around and just slides on the lemon/lime/orange.

An absolute waste of money. I own another Cuisinart zester that I love but this one does not measure up. The cutting edges are so dull you can't get any kind of zest from it much less a clean strip. This must be a knock-off because it is certainly not up to the Cuisinart standards.

I needed one of these, and this fits the bill. You get several "curls" of zest with each pass. Nice handle, goes right into the dishwasher, and does what it says it will do - what more could I ask of a zester?!?
