Quick and easy install by myself. Keep all bolts loose until you get them threaded in so you can shift the hitch around.Build quality is good. Fitment is good too. I wish the bolt holes for the u-bolt were a little bigger. Others have noted this too.The key is to EVENLY and firmly push both threads through. If you don't get the threads in evenly, you will struggle getting the bolt through. One way to avoid struggling is if you drill the u-bolt holes just a hair bigger. I didn't have to, but it seems others may have.Overall, it's great. Took maybe 10 minutes to install. You have to remove a black/gray pan looking piece underneath that's held in by 3 bolts.

Relatively easy to install on my 2008 Honda Fit Sport (I didn't have the hole-alignment issues that some other reviewers had). It's solid and stable. I've had it on there for almost a year now with a bike rack - I wish I got a different bike rack, but that's another story - this hitch is holding great, 0 complaints.

Works fine. Extremely heavy, but perhaps that's normal for solid steel trailer hitches...

As mentioned in someone else's review here, the pre-drilled holes aren't aligned well. In my case, the forward skid plate holes were lined up okay and there was no side-to-side skew. However, the distance between the forward skid plate holes and rear u-bolt holes is about 4mm short. This means that while the forward bolts sit flush and snug, the rear u-bolt enters the holes at ~20 degree angle and the nuts cannot be tightened flush. This may not be a big deal if you're only using the hitch for a bike rack or light duty cargo carrier. And it shouldn't pose a problem to pulling (lateral force) a given trailer weight. But since this misaligned, crooked u-bolt is there to primarily support the (vertical force) tongue weight, I would not feel comfortable loading the hitch close to the manufacturer promised 150lbs... especially in a dynamic situations like bouncing over uneven road surfaces, where vertical forces are amplified.Keep this in mind when reviewing your usage requirements before ordering.

Fits my 2008 Honda Fit Sport. Very easy to install (Less than an hour). The hitch is a little heavy, I would recommend a second person to help hold it up as you get the first bolts threaded, so it can hang on it's own. Also bought a Thule Apex 4 ([...]) to put on this. Everything seems to be working great.

Husband wants to provide more details: Easy to install. After installation, noticed that the alignment of the receiver didn't line up with the center line of the car. The 2 forward bolt holes should have been drilled more to the left, thereby centering the hitch with the center line of the vehicle Contacted Curt, was told that I could enlarge the holes to adjust the alignment. Was offered no other alternative. Hitch holes should have been drilled properly in the first place. (In other words, it was catterwampus!!).Installed the hitch on my 2007 Honda Fit so that I could carry my bikes. After installation, I noticed that the hitch sits somewhat crooked. Called the Curt folks and got no joy. It works okay, but looks really catterwampus. Product could have been better manufactured.

I put this hitch on a Honda Fit which is a bit of a silly car to have a hitch, but it does work fine for what I'm using it for. I'm not pulling anything but I'm using it for a bike carrier. I've had several heavy bikes hanging from this and it hasn't fallen off. It installed as easily as they advertise. It's almost too easy because the reason I bought this was that my roof rack got ripped off by someone prying it off with a screw driver. With this hitch, it's only slightly harder to remove and only takes one tool. That's a good thing for most people though since that means installation is that easy too.
