No matter how easy the install is described, it involves detaching the mufflers and I found that it was easy when i paid a mechanic $100 to install it for me. Money well spent.

Its says 45min install, took 3.5 hours. I don't know if it was manufacturer or shipping but it was way out of alignment. It did have a couple dings and scratches but nothing that looked like it would have bent it over 1inch outward alignment. What it looks like to me what MAY have happened but not 100% sure, is that it was tacked together in a fixture then welded out of the fixture causing it to warped the side flanges outward. I have been welding for 15 years and currently build the Abrams M1 tank and that is what it seems to be what happened which would explain why it was a returned product, but nothing some heat and a hammer couldn't fix!!

Installed It MySelf On A 2014 Dodge challenger to pull a light trailer. Took about an hour to install, mainly due to limited space under my car. Biggest issue is i have factory suspension and the hitch is very low to the ground. I find myself scraping many a driveway with it on. More of an issue with my car not the product though, so over all satisfied with the product.

This hitch has very nice build quality and looks as nice as a trailer hitch is going to look on a passenger car. It's very sturdy and has a nice, thick paint coating on it. The box it comes in even has grab handles in well thought out places!!Installation on a 2013 Charger R/T was a pain, but not because of the hitch - the vehicle exhaust is in the way of the bolt locations. The YouTube video that demonstrates the install was fairly close, but not exactly right when it comes to removing the exhaust (my vehicle doesn't have an X pipe in the back, instead I disconnected the spring bolts behind the catalytic converter on the left side). The rest of the install is as described in the video, although doing the work while the vehicle was on jack stands was a pain due to minimal working room. If you don't have much wrenching experience under your belt or don't want to spend a few hours fighting your exhaust, I'd consider paying a mechanic to install this for you.Once I got the exhaust out of my way the install was pretty quick - the hitch kit comes with leads to help run the bolts into the frame and out the bottom, which is a great touch, and the hitch is solid as a rock once it's in place and torqued down properly.

Perfect fit on my 2011 Dodge Charger RT. I needed this to take some additional gear on a road trip. Installation was about an hour with air tools. Getting the driver side muffler off was the biggest obstacle, everything else was a breeze. You can find installation videos on Youtube and they were a big help.Build quality of this is great. I had about 200lbs of gear on it for my 1100 mile road trip and never had an issue. I did use two Curt load straps (purchased separately on amazon) which click into the trunk lip and give you a little extra support.

The construction and finish of this hitch are top notch. The installation instructions are extremely detailed. The fit to my 2011 Dodge Charger was perfect. The mounting holes lined up perfectly and all hardware was included. I had some difficulty accessing the mounting bolts on the right side of the car due to difficulty in moving the muffler out of the way (V6 model), but that is related to the car, not the product. If you can remove both mufflers first, it would be a much easier install.Amazon Prime is awesome! Getting an item this large and this heavy overnight for $3.99 is amazing.
