Bought this for my 2013 Q7 and it dose not fit bolt pattern. Even if it did, it would not fit user bumper even close.

Was concerned about removing existing bumper (rear portion of car, pulling off wheel rim trim, etc...) and breaking tabs where most pieces snap in, but as someone told me, you need to pull harder than you are comfortable doing, and it will be OK. Couldn't really unplug the lights within the bumper cover, so be aware, and have a blanket under because as soon as you get the bumper off it will drop before you know it and you don't want to scratch it. After that, the 18mm socket with 6" extension made easy work of removing the bumper bar. Set it aside, hang the hitch on the alignment tabs, and reinstall bumper bar over it. There is room to adjust the hitch left/right as needed to get it centered. Next is cutting the plastic of the bumper- measure like they say, and start cutting (we used a 6" cutting wheel, made quick, easy work of it. Remember to unclip the antenna for the foot operated lift gate (which I can't get mine to work...). Then snap it all back into place and install the #25 torx screws (22 in all). Took us an hour.

My wife and I are both teachers, so even though I have had these for about 2 months, we've logged lots of summer miles with stuff on top of my car. I have hauled luggage bags, a canoe, a massive headboard, and a bike rack. So far so good. I think people who spend more money for Thule or OEM racks are just throwing their money away. These are visually appealing and work just the same. Great value.

Good quality product. The attached instructions help to find all the screws necessary to remove the bumper. My advice, do not remove any wires, you will end up spending a lot of time attaching it again. There is only one spot where the main wire is connected to the bumper (driver side, see attached picture), you can leave it connected and still be able to connect the hitch. Also trim the bumper 7inch deep not 7 3/4 as advice in the manual. The installation took aprox 3 hours.
