I bought this product needed support with respect to fitment of rails,. I emailed Curt and they were extremely helpful. This product was very well designed., and I had no issues with fitment. After installing my fifth wheel rails using this install kit. I have the upmost confidence and peace of mind.... I would highly recommend

I am a professional mechanic of about 20 years and I bought this set to install onto my truck to move my camper around the farm so I didn't want to spend a bunch of money on a fifth wheel that won't get used but once a year. The parts fit well and the Instructions are adequate to get the job done. But that's about where it ends. I wish the kit would have come with nylock nuts instead of standard hardware and my trucks straight piped so I don't have any heat shields to deal with I just had to remove fenderliners and the spare tire and did it on the ground because honestly a rack wouldn't have really helped much, and total install took about 6 hours so I want to see the guy that says it can be done in 90 minutes because unless you have a template for drilling the holes I can't see it

I liked the quality of the product, the installation was tough. I called customer service and he was rude and unhelpful. I like Curt products but hate the C/S I got.

Definitely takes longer to install than the 5 hours that they suggest but the engineering in this product is spot on... There are some pretty tight spots with the bolts and getting them properly torqued and the only thing needing drilled are the holes in the bed. I highly recommend this product you'll save a lot of money rather than going to a dealer and having it installed.

I bought these with a set of rails and a Curt Q16 hitch. They fit the truck beautifully. When Installing the brackets and rails, follow the directions closely. At some point Curt changed the measurement for short bed trucks to 26-3/8" from the back of the bed. Install the rear rail at this distance or 1/8" closer to the rear. This prevents any interference with the bed channels. The instructions say to predrill 1/8" pilot holes and then to check clearance, which is a good idea, but installing the rear rail 26-3/8" from the rear was the right place, although installing it 26-1/4" would have been much better.I watched many videos and read many reviews and they said to remove the rear wheels and the drivers side shock. I didn't remove the shock and didn't have a problem installing the brackets. I did have to use a short socket on the torque wrench for the bracket bolt above the drivers side shock mount. And removing the wiring loom is a must, but it's easy to do.As for fishing the 3"x1½" plate washer through the frame, I saw several videos and reviews that either trimmed the washer or enlarged the hole in the frame. I did neither. I inserted the washers in through the very rear of the frame and used the fish wire to push it forward to the frame hole and then threaded the bolt into the fish wire and inserted the wire through the washer and forward to the mounting hole. It was surprisingly easy to hit the mounting hole with the end of the fish wire. Then just pull the fish wire, bolt and washer through the frame and out the mounting hole. For inserting the tube spacer into the under bed hat channel, I used a magnetic pickup and a large screwdriver. I inserted the spacer into the channel and then used the magnetic pickup through the mounting hole previously drilled to lift the spacer up and then inserted the blade of the screwdriver into the end of it and used it to align it with the holes. The instructions say that it should take you about 90 minutes to install them, however it took me about 3½ hours total, but I was installing the rails and brackets and assembling the Q16 hitch and the R16 roller frame at the same time, so I'd allow 2 hours for just the rail/bracket install.:Edit: 3/4/17 - Added Photos.

The kit came quickly and fit is great. Interior packing leaves a bit to be desired if you want the great powder coat finish to be blemish free when you open the box. I watched the installation video on Curts webpage, it was very helpfull. Two changes I found made my install easier, (for me anyway). Instead of relocating the factory ground wire as instructed I used the very same 1/2" drill bit used for drilling through the bed to remove an arch shaped piece from the frame bracket. A quick fit check and a marker will indicate exactly where and how much to trim away. It doesn't change the structural integrity of the bracket. Maybe Curt can make the modification in the future. The second was after spending about two hours trying to fish the spacer tube into the bed subframe. Its a challenge to find the lower hole and the clearance was tight enough that the two ends of the pull wire would not allow me to stand in up in the channel. What I found easier was to follow the example by attaching the pull wire to the crown bolt using it as an anchor, fish the wire to the outside of the channel. Once it was outside, I bent the end over making about a 1 inch fish hook shape. Then slide the spacer tube on, catch the end in the hook and pull it into the channel from inside the bed. I used a large phillips screw driver passing down from the top through the rail into the tube. Now that I had the tube secure, I pulled the wire out. Then using the screw driver I stood the spacer up relatively easily centering over the lower hole. The crown bolt dropped right in. The hole process took less than 5 minutes working by myself. Much, much easier than the fish wire process. Like all the other folks who have commented It does take more than 90 minutes as instructed. Using this technique I believe the 90 minutes could be achieved even by those people (like me) who measure 5 times before they drill the first hole. I also used some extra time up waiting for a coat of spray on under coat to dry. I measured and taped off a box 1 inch wider and longer than the rails and applied the under coat to include the ground side around the freshly drilled holes. I had a plastic bed liner previously so this will hold me over untiI I get a spray in liner. My Curt Q24 and this rail system are a perfect pair fit and finish are excellant.
