My trailer hitch install required me to drill holes in bumper and fish bolts and a metal plates thru a 1 1/4 inch hole to the mounting bolt holes. I only drilled one of the larger holes and extended this fish tool with some wire. Worked for me.

After initial Curt hitch install attempt failed, need to replace two of these for second attempt. I fished two bolts & metal washers out of vehicle frame and used these to install a second time. Successfully completed in time for winter trip!

If you looking at this review you should stop and buy it. it works wonders. I bought it so if my hitch was missing it, i'd still have one. these are the only way to install a hitch with out frustration.
