Slightly wider than most. Metal knows effectively keep feet from sliding on the pedal.

As a senior citizen, I gave up my Look pedals in favor of these grip pedals to keep me from falling over due to a failure to disengage. Oh, and the loosening shoe cleat—but that's another story. They're light weight, look good, easy to swap out, and grip my shoe soles. Yeah, I lose the leg pull up benefit, but that's a cost I can live with.

I recently upgraded my bike with the CXWXC Road/MTB Bike Pedals, and I am thoroughly impressed with their performance and quality. Here's why these pedals are a fantastic addition to any bike:#### Sturdy Build and DurabilityThe first thing that stood out to me was the construction. Made from high-strength aluminum alloy, these pedals are incredibly robust and durable. They have held up well against rough terrains and harsh conditions, showing no signs of wear and tear even after several intense rides. The anti-corrosion properties ensure that they remain in top condition regardless of the weather.#### Lightweight and EfficientDespite their sturdy build, the CXWXC pedals are surprisingly lightweight. This makes a significant difference in the overall weight of the bike, enhancing the riding experience. The lightweight design does not compromise their performance, offering a smooth and efficient ride both on the road and on mountain trails.#### Excellent GripThe pedals feature a wide platform and anti-skid nails, which provide exceptional grip. I never have to worry about my feet slipping, even in wet or muddy conditions. This added stability and control have boosted my confidence on challenging trails and during high-speed descents.#### Easy InstallationInstalling these pedals was a breeze. They come with clear instructions and fit perfectly onto my bike. The standard 9/16" spindle ensures compatibility with most bikes, and the sealed bearings keep out dirt and moisture, ensuring smooth rotation.#### Versatile UseThese pedals are designed for versatility, making them suitable for both road bikes and mountain bikes. I’ve used them on various terrains, from smooth pavements to rocky trails, and they have performed exceptionally well across the board. The versatility makes them an excellent investment for any cyclist.#### Value for MoneyGiven the quality and performance, the CXWXC pedals offer great value for money. They are competitively priced and deliver features and durability that are often found in more expensive models.#### ConclusionIn summary, the CXWXC Road/MTB Bike Pedals have exceeded my expectations in every way. They are durable, lightweight, easy to install, and provide excellent grip and performance on various terrains. Whether you're a road cyclist or a mountain biking enthusiast, these pedals are a fantastic choice. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to upgrade their bike pedals.

When I first got them I thought they felt a little stiff to turn by hand but after putting them on the bike and riding, they are smooth as butter. Nice and wide! Super grippy! Happy so far.

These are robust aluminum pedals and easy to install. One thing they do miss is a way to get a wrench on them. They provide a large hex wrench slot in the center, which is sufficient but I do prefer a greater arm to provide a little more torque with a wrench.I ride a lot, and, they do loosen up with time, the bearing section that is, which is normal, requires maintenance and a little tightening and lubrication at times, but then i was back to riding. But overall, These are great pedals for the price.

If you look at the professional pics provided by the manufacturer, you might get the impression that these pedals are as handsome as models costing 2-3x as much and more. When you take them out of the box, you might get the same exact impression. These are shockingly better looking than the cheapie nylon ones you can get for about the same price. If you had those on your bike, these are a nice-looking upgrade.Sadly, the bearings are stiff out of the box. When you go to spin them, you might get a quarter to a half revolution, and that's all. I threw them on anyway, and am happy to say that they broke in somewhat and seem decent now, but I have limited expectations for their durability, and they don't appear to be serviceable. On the bright side, the aluminum body itself is solid, and a minor fall on pavement scraped the edge a little but didn't do any other harm.Overall, a pretty nice budget pedal.

I have been riding Road and MTB bikes for 25 years. (more or less) I have had issues with my feet with bone spurs & Morton’s Neuroma a painful a result from flat feet and wearing regular shoes that are too tight. Especially my clip ins. No more snug clip in’s for me. The only way to alleviate the pain is either surgery or live with it. That being said I researched other options which resulted in buying orthopedic WIDE sneakers. This helped greatly walking again, but it was difficult to keep my feet on my bikes pedals because the toe area is at least an inch wider than the normal pedals. These pedals are perfect for three reasons Great price, great quality, and the wider pedal with pegs to make it more secure while pedaling. If I still like them over time I’ll buy another set for my MTB!Update:I love the pedals so much I did buy another pair for my MTB bike as well. Great pedals
