My 4 year old only asked for a "big chocolate egg" for Christmas. That is the ONLY thing he asked for for MONTHS. I bought a funko pop figure to put inside for him. I've never done chocolate molds before so I was a little nervous. I made one coat and tried to take it out. It wouldn't budge. Not the mold's fault. User error. I didn't make it thick enough. So I melted more chocolate and put another layer in. Put in the freezer for 15 mins and it popped right out. I wrapped it and put it in the fridge while I made the other side. This time, I knew... had to make it thicker. I did the same way I did it the first time though. 2 layers. I then put it on a warmed pan to melt a bit to put the two sides together. 4 year old was over the moon!!

It's a bit flimsy but not too bad for the price. It works as it should, chocolate releases easily and shiny from the mold. Safe yourself some time and hassle and order two as it's only one half.

Loved the giant size, that was the entire reason I got it. The shipment was late and I contacted the seller about it - there's no response that I'm aware of. Luckily, days later I got my mold.Works well for what I needed it for. Packaging was good, shipping was late, product is great.

Great product very sturdy, just wish they offered the other half of the egg mold, that’s why I rated lower on value for money. Shipped fast so I could make a Brigadeiro filled egg for my Brazilian family :)

Never molded before but watched a YouTube video and was so simple. Bought 2 halves and did 2 eggs. One egg was hollow put in a lego set in bag and a bag of candy, second egg bag of candy one side hollow and other half solid. Took 3.5 bags of chocolate bark or 3.5 pounds chocolate.Bakers bark from WM heated whole pound half for 60 seconds then stir and 15 seconds two times, pour into half mold all way to brim freeze 6 minutes till forms outer ring then pour out center into second half. Put first half back into freezer for 6 minutes or until you see separating from mold. melt 6 more blocks same times to top off second half freeze for six minutes. Take out first half wearing gives and using a soft cloth so no prints. If you pull mold gently out push in you will see air releasing from mold and will pop out on its own on cloth. Wait for second half to pour out center if want hollow for toys or candy or leave if want solid. Repeat steps for first half. Now large pan on stove heat up pan warm gently lay egg on pan till melts a little then place on other prefilled half to seal together. Any gaps can be filled with melted chocolate in a ziplock with corner cut in small hole. I used a new sponge dipped in coconut oil to smooth out edges and to refine egg. There is no white spots or roughness unless old chocolate used IDK not on any of my eggs. Wrapped in ceranwrap and tied off. I did the two eggs in less than 25 minutes.

It worked well for the first one or two eggs, but the plastic is really cheap and flimsy and broke pretty easily. I bought it on a whim and wish I spent the extra money for one that would last and not break as easily.

Worked very well for giant easter surprise eggs. Chocolate came off well and it had enough flexibility to get the chocolate out but stiff enough to hold its shape. I will probably purchase another one of these in the future as working with only one half of an egg is tedious when you are making 4 large eggs (8 halves).

The mold is high quality but each package is only one half of the egg.The description isn't clear so if you are hoping to cast a whole 3D egg you must purchase 2 of the same size mold.

After my daughter became obsessed with the "Egg surprises" on youtube, I was determined to make her dreams come true at easter.I purchased this with the intentions of creating a giant Easter egg with a giant Easter gift surprise inside (A Nintendo DS! - So that should give you an idea how big the egg is)It is a very sturdy piece of plastic, it is only ONE half of an egg, so to make a whole egg you have to make sure you have enough time to mold both parts (or purchase two, whatever you want to do) It was really easy to use, just pour the chocolate on, the chocolate itself will sort of begin to detach from the mold when it's ready, and you just need to gently rub the plastic on the outer side to get the chocolate to come outI used a hot spoon to soften the edges to attach both parts, with practice I could probably have achieved a seamless finish but it really turned out great, inside the egg, as mentioned before I put a nintendo DS, so the egg was pretty darn big (to my daughters delight, also wrap the gift that you put inside so save chocolate getting onto it!)This pretty much was the egg of my daughters dreams, she finally got her OWN egg surprise with a great gift, and lots of chocolate (which lasted a few weeks between the family!)Great product if you're feeling crafty!

Perfect 3d mold. I cut around the shape to make this more managable, then i used black metal office clips, i left just enough room for a secure clip. I filled half the mold, banged out the air bubbles and coated the whole mold all while keeping the mold moving for a few minutes to ensure an even coat. Then i pop em in the fridge, and they pop right out. These mold are well made and so easy to use for any craft project. They clean up easy and all my Easter guests ooohhhed and ahhhhed :D
