I cut this pair of molds in half and added some clothes pins when I made my butter lamb for Easter this year. Takes nearly 2 sticks of butter, so it is a larger lamb than the ones they used to sell in the food store. The mold is a bargain when used for this purpose. Just spray the mold with some PAM before filling. Delivered very quickly.

I wanted to use it to mold butter. Perhaps it was the butter I used, not sure; but am going to look for another mold.

Really disappointed with this mold. Very difficult to cut due to insufficient space around lamb. This results in a very unevev and in some areas a much too narrow border to secure tightly with clips. Having each half of the lamb on a separate sheet of plastic would make a mold that is more secure and much easier to use. I have a lamb mold that I purchased many years ago, it's on two separate sheets and works beautifully. Please consider producing this mold on two separate sheets.

It's good for being made of plastic. It is what it is. I would give it 5 stars if the plastic were a bit thicker. The thickness can be compared to the plastic shell over a purchased item (like scissors - the one thing you need to open the package is staring at you behind it's casing).

Worked well. I actually made a lamb out of butter for Easter. Goes back to a Polish tradition and since I grew up in Buffalo NY, these are a staple in households at the holidays. Of course there they look a little different, but I'll keep the tradition somewhat alive down south.

This worked perfectly to make an Easter butter lamb! All I did was coat the mold with coconut oil, and pressed the butter into the mold. I let it sit overnight, and it popped right out perfectly. I ran a spoon under hot water, and gently rubbed backs of the two halves, and pressed them together. I smoothed out the crease in the middle and put it back in the fridge to reharden. Came out perfect!

I use this at Easter for a butter mold. It's large and served our 8 guests with plenty leftover. I just spooned room temperature butter into the mold. Tapped it on the counter to make sure the butter was well distributed, popped it in the freezer for about 30 minutes. Very easy to remove without using warm water which would have melted the butter, instead I just popped it against the counter a time or 2 and out it came. It also made a nice decoration for the table.

In addition to the small lamb mold, I purchased this mold also. This makes a really good size finished product. When used as a butter lamb it made a huge lamb once the butter "curls" were added on. It will be a great butter lamb for your Easter table, but it will use about 2# of butter so it's better suited for a large family or even a buffet. I made a chocolate lamb also, however I didn't make it solid, I partially filled it to make a hollow lamb. That turned out so nice ! I was pleased with the ease of releasing the chocolate and butter from the lamb. Just be sure to but the filled mold in the fridge until you see it can easily be released. A nice addition to your Easter basket or tale.
