My hard mount has been great, reliable and rkck steady, for years on my round seat post. Bought this for another bike with an aero-shaped seat post. It also works great with one caveate ... place electrical tape around the post to prevent scratches from the solid backside of the light mount.

Although I have 2 of these, swapping a rear light between different style bikes with wildly different seat stays, is a nuisance when y6u had to deal with different thickness rubber spacers. Now it is just "clip and tighten."

Fits better on the seat stay.I wish Cygolite would offer a sturdy seat bag mount as an alternative.

I lost my tail light when this strap gave way. The light was attached and flashing when I left home and was nowhere to be found when I got back. There were no rough roads, and the ride was only 45 minutes.If you need a spare mount for a light, get one that has a mount that screws on rather than rely on a rubber strap. At the very least try to fortify it with zip ties or something.

If you are looking for a flexible mount for a Cygolite rear flasher then you want this item. It firmly locks the flasher in place just like the hard mount version. I needed a flex mount for another bike where the hard mount didn’t work. I attached a picture to show it with the rear flasher installed. It’s attached to a broom handle but you get the idea. Highly recommended.

Product does not provide enough support to the Cygolite. It ends up flopping around when riding along. Took it off after a few rides.
