Works well, feels good, very well made. All the notches are precisely where they should be and measure correctly. I use it all the time when doing a little bit of bi-annual maintenance on my guitar. Does the job well, highly recommend.

It boggles my mind how some companies try to charge for these simple devices and how fanatic some users can be over guitar tools! The D'Addario seemed to me to the be the best price performance product for sale here. The markings are etched into the metal and painted black against the silvery metal so it is easy to read. This should last me a life time.

It is not made with paper-thin metal and is sturdy. The satin surface makes it much easier to read. Be careful when using it since the edges are a little sharp.

Like many products on Amazon, the picture is outdated or the wrong one. The gauge I received has cut-outs on the long side ends that are supposedly for measuring other things, plus a silly screw driver. These cut-outs are sharp and awkward, in my opinion. The string height in both metric and standard are accurate and easy to read.

This is as good or better than any of the similar string height gauges. It's well engraved and printed on a nice piece of stainless steel with no rough edges.

Not sure how you would check neck relief, as it is alleged you can do, but overall this tool appears precise based on comparison to high-quality machinists rulers I have. Other than for checking action, specifically string height at 12th fret, which this is really convenient for, a good small precision ruler with demarcations in 64ths and 32nds and millimeters and a set of feeler gauges will get you there, too, if you already have those. If not, this tool with feeler gauges should work fine.
