If you, like me, are purchasing this to store tea (as advertised) please know that it will not seal. The vase is gorgeous, but when I removed the lid the inside was covered with foil. I felt something cushiony underneath and thought "Ah, is the foil to protect the cushiony seal underneath?" When I removed the foil, all there was underneath was a strip of insulation-like tape around the inside of the lid. I'm beyond disappointed. As far as anyone who knows anything about tea, this would be false advertising. Even if you don't live in a humid city like I do, you'd still have a challenge keeping your tea free of moisture and, possibly, mold. I gave it three stars because, sadly, the vase is, in fact, beautiful.

Very happy with the quality of tea storage canister. Nice design, seals tightly, fast shipping, packaged well against breakage.

I am very picky in blue and white chinoiserie items, and this is lovely. A beautiful deep blue with white accents and a nice size and shape. However, in order to make it air-tight they added some sticky foam around the edge of the lid with some sort of fabric over that. It probably would be airtight if it hadn't made it extremely hard to put on and take off. I ended up scraping it off and washing in hot water in order to remove the sticky residue. It would have been 5 stars without the foam, although it clearly will not be airtight without it. It needs some sort of silicone band that would adequately seal it without making it difficult to use.

It's beautiful. I'm redecorating and my furniture is blue and sand. This is the first of blue decorations. I'm very happy with it. It's a great size for tiers. I tried to post a picture but I couldn't make it happen. Sorry

It's a beautiful deep blue container & I believe just for that alone it's worth the money. One puzzlement is the lid. It was very difficult to remove. Inside is not rubber or some plastic but a waxy like coating on on woven looking brown paper. This paper seems glued to the lid. I believe that is their idea of making it's air tight. (And it is) I bought it to store my powder Japanese matcha but I can't trust this container to do so. I'll keep it for decoration. Just not sure of that paper on the lid and if it's supposed to be there or removed.2-7-'21 I've been using this tea caddy for tea leaves and with two one by one inch dessicants the tea is still fresh after a month. I love the different cultivars (Ceremonial Grade means only what the advertiser wants you to believe so you will buy the more expensive matcha. There is no such name in Japan or in this house!!! If you must have a equivalent then you want to buy a "SINGLE CULTIVAR" (THAT IS THE BEST!!!!). Amazon offers THE Pinnacle of Japanese tea. You also get fast delivery and unprecedented customer service!!!!!!!! My personal favorites are the two SINGLE CULTIVAR'S BEST OF THOSE IS "YABUKITA MATCHA". When I like something a little different I buy the " KYOTO UJI MATCHA ". When it comes to tea leaves, well I have morr to try. Many of my choices are suggestions from the Customer service. They offer sales and discounts on the Ocha web site. Did you know OCHA is TEA in Japanese. Domo arigato. ( Thank you). " OHIO" means Good Morning. Now sit back and enjoy the umami (fantastic, not actually the definition of the word) and the calming feeling of relaxation, a perfect way to start your daily meditations. Tastes like nature just after a spring rain.MMMMMM. try it you'll like it.

Sometimes it's hard to judge the size of things without seeing in person. It is very small but very well made. Looks great on my tea/coffee shelf. I use it to hold ground spices I add to my coffee/tea. Happy. Recommend for small quantities of very finely ground tea/spices.
