I got this for protection of the cast and later the splint after I broke my ankle and the resulting surgery. It provided firm support of the splint as it wasn't as heavy as the cast was and I was afraid that it could snap if pressure was applied to it.It is pretty durable, the material is thick and the straps hold well. Walking in it was easy also. I originally ordered the large but had to return it and get the extra large. I would recommend the extra large if you are an adult in order to ensure it fits. I didn't have a lot of bandaging on the splint or the cast and the large just wasn't enough.I would definitely recommend this cast boot, especially if you're like me and live alone and still have to carry on your every day activities. It enabled me to even work outside and protected the cast/splint while doing so.

I have a foot/ankle injury and need a boot for when it's acting up. This one stays put because it has 2 velcro straps for around your ankle. And for me, it's the perfect height for my other foot with a shoe on.

The Velcro straps could be better. They Velcro wore out before I no longer need the boot.

I used this as a cast shoe. PERFECT AND WELL MADE! Also could be post op shoe or broken foot or toe shoe. The cusion insole comes out, all hand washable. The strap across the toe removes completely for repositioning to the right size. Has two other straps, one across the front of the ankle and the other above ankle bone. Makes it really secure, not like most cast shoes. Has a rocker sole so its great for walking. I had a walking cast so i really out some distance of this thing for 4 weeks and it held up. Cleans up with a hand wash in a bucket and drys pretty fast. ADVICE: order one size up from the chart! Im a womes size 8 and medium worked well for me. Was able to adjust for the cast also. Very good looking product also.

ordered this based on the wife's shoe size like it says to do. It would work if we needed an ugly boot and she didn't have a cast on.

As anyone with diabetes knows, the right shoe can prevent a trip to the hospital. These cast boots work great with charcot feet. The sole is solid and the velcro fasteners hold the shoe securely. Two or three pair of diabetic socks for cushioning protect the foot and allow for walking without the fear of blisters. The upper velcro above the ankle are what cause these to protect the foot so securely. There is little to no slippage. There are three velcro closings. If regular shoes are not an option, and with diabetics that is sometimes the case, these work great. I am sure they would work fine with a cast as well, because they can be as roomy as needed by securing the velcro to the needed width. The straps are long enough to accommodate a charcot foot or a badly swollen foot. The person who I bought these for has had several pair of custom diabetic shoes made, but none of them work as well as these.
